Abstract
A bracket is designed to hold up a rack to the wall and is formed of a base, a connection member, and a locating member. The base is fixed to the wall and is provided with a fastening hole to which one end of the connection member is detachably fastened in conjunction with the locating member. The connection member can be adjusted in position to facilitate the supporting of a rack member.
Description
- 1. Field of the Invention
- The present invention relates generally to a bracket that is fastened onto a wall to hold up a rack.
- 2. Description of Related Art
- As shown in FIG. 1, a prior art bracket is designed to fasten onto a wall to hold up a
rack rod 12. The bracket comprises abase 10, which is fastened onto a wall by a plurality of fasteningbolts 11 and is provided with aconnection rod 13 for holding up therack rod 12 such that one end of therack rod 12 is received in a receivingslot 14 of theconnection rod 13. Theconnection rod 13 is fixed and can not be therefore turned to adjust the position of the receivingslot 14 to facilitate the receiving of one end of therack rod 12 in thereceiving slot 14. In other words, thebase 10 must be fastened onto the wall with precision, so that the receivingslots 14 of twoconnections 13 of twobases 10 are precisely opposite in location to each other. - The primary objective of the present invention is to provide a rack bracket which is free of the shortcoming of the prior art rack bracket described above.
- The primary objective of the present invention is achieved by a bracket comprising a base, a connection member, and a locating member. The connection member is fastened at one end with the base in conjunction with the locating member, thereby enabling the connection member to be adjusted to facilitate the supporting of a rack member by the bracket.
- The objective, feature, and advantage of the present invention will be more readily understood upon a thoughtful deliberation of the following detailed description of a preferred embodiment of the present invention with reference to the accompanying drawings.
- FIG. 1 shows a perspective view of a rack bracket of the prior art.
- FIG. 2 shows an exploded view of the preferred embodiment of the present invention.
- FIG. 3 shows a perspective view of the preferred embodiment of the present invention in combination.
- FIG. 4 shows a longitudinal sectional view of the preferred embodiment of the present invention.
- FIG. 5 shows a longitudinal sectional view of the preferred embodiment of the present invention at work.
- As shown in FIG. 2-5, a bracket embodied in the present invention is designed to support a rack member on the wall (A). The bracket comprises a
base 20, aconnection member 30, and a locatingmember 40. - The
base 20 is provided in the interior with areceiving slot 21 in which awall seat 25 is located. Thereceiving slot 21 is provided at one end with aretaining edge 22, and at other end wall with a throughhole 23 through which a locatingbolt 24 is put through. Thewall seat 25 is located securely in thereceiving slot 21 by theretaining edge 22 and the locatingbolt 24. Thebase 20 is securely held up to the wall (A) such that thewall seat 25 of thebase 20 is fastened onto the wall (A) by a plurality of fastening screws. Thebase 20 is further provided with afastening hole 27 which hasinner threads 26, and is opposite in location to thewall seat 25. - The
connection member 30 is provided at one end with aconnection head 31 havingouter threads 32 engageable and disengageable with theinner threads 26 of thefastening hole 27 of thebase 20. Theconnection head 31 is provided at the free end with a threadedhole 33. Theconnection member 30 is detachably fastened with thebase 20 by theconnection head 31 which can be engaged or disengaged with thefastening hole 27 of thebase 20. When theconnection head 31 is engaged with thefastening hole 27 of thebase 20, theconnection member 30 can not be turned. - The locating
member 40 is formed of awasher 41, abolt 42, and arecovery element 50. Thewasher 41 and therecovery element 50 are fitted over thebolt 42 such that thewasher 41 is located between the head of thebolt 42 and therecovery element 50. The locatingmember 40 is disposed in thereceiving slot 21 of thebase 20 such that one end of thebolt 42 is engaged with the threadedhole 33 of theconnection head 31 of theconnection member 30, and that therecovery element 50 urges at one end the inner wall of thereceiving slot 21, and at other end thewasher 41, as shown in FIG. 4 and 5. Therecovery element 50 of the preferred embodiment of the present invention is a spiral spring. - As illustrated in FIG. 4, the
connection member 30 is securely fastened with thebase 20 such that theconnection head 31 is engaged with thefastening hole 27 of thebase 20, and that theconnection member 30 can not be turned. However, theconnection member 30 can be adjusted in its orientation by pulling theconnection member 30 in the direction away from thebase 20, as indicated by arrows in FIG. 5. Thereafter, theconnection member 30 is turned as desired. - The preferred embodiment of the present invention described above is to be regarded in all respects as being merely illustrative and not restrictive. Accordingly, the present invention may be embodied in other specific forms without deviating from the spirit thereof The present invention is therefore to be limited only by the scope of the following claim.
