. Our invention relates toa new and useful improvement in a container adapted for the re-' ception of liquids which it is desirable to keep in a cool condition and which it is desirable to have in a cool condition when the same are drawn from the container.
It is an object of the present invention to provide a container of this class in which a cooler will be combined to provide a unitary structure.
Another object of the invention is the provision of a container having a cooler forming a part thereof so arranged and constructed that carbonated beverages and other gasified liquids may be drawn from the container in an iced or 3 cooled condition.
Another object of the invention is the pr0- vision of a container so constructed and arranged that it may be sealed gas-tight to permit gas pressure to be developed therein while at the same time the liquid may be easily and quickly drawn off from the container.
It is another object of the invention to provide an outlet pipe formed into a plurality of coils and extended so as to traverse a container in which ice or other cooling medium may be placed. v
Another object of the invention is the provision of a device of this class which will be simple in structure, durable, economical to manufacture, compact, and highly efficient in use.
Other objects will appear hereinafter.
The invention consists in the combination and arrangement of parts hereinafter described and claimed. r
The invention will be best understood by a reference to the accompanying drawing which forms a part of this specification, and in which .Fig. 1 is a central, vertical, sectional view of the invention.
Fig. 2 is a top plan view of the invention.
Fig. 3 is a fragmentary, sectional view taken on line 3-3 of Fig. 1.
The invention comprises a container 7 formed preferably circular in cross section and having its lower edge curled to form a bead 8 which embraces a reinforcing wire 9. A bead 10 is curled around the bead 9 so as to retain the bottom 11 in position on the container. Adjacent the top of the container there is provided an inwardly projecting bead 12 resting against which is the edge of the axially directed flange 15 of a hood 16 which has a centrally formed circular flange 17 axially directed of the hood and container and .Jembracing a neck 18. The flange 15 may be joined to the container '7 as likewise mayuthe flange or neck 1'7 be joined to the neck-18 by welding or in any other suitable manner. The upper end of the neck 18 is bent outwardly and doubled upon itself tov provide the peripheral flange 19.. An outlet pipe 20 is positioned within the container '7 and terminates adjacent the bottom 11, this bottom 11 being convexinwardly and projected inwardly of the container 7. The upper end of the outlet pipe 20 communicates with a fitting 21 on which is formed the threaded nipple 22 which is projected through the neck 18 and threaded into the head 23. The fitting 21 and the head .23 serve to clamp against the opposite faces of the neck 18 the yieldable washers 24 and 25 by means of the'metal or rigid washers 26 and 27. A passage is formed in the ffltting 21 communicating with a passage formed. in the head .23. The nipple 29 is threaded into the head23 in communication with the passage 28 and secured to this nipple 29 by means of the jam nut 30 is thehead 32 formed on the cooling pipe 31 which is formed in coils so as to rest on the hood 16 and cover substantially the entire surface thereof. The coiled end of the pipe 31 is connected to the fitting 33 into which is, threaded the nipple 35 projecting from the head 36 of thevalve 3'7 on which is formed the spout 38. Ayieldable washer 34 is clamped against the extended wall of the container. An outlet faucet 39 communicateswith the compartment The compartment53 53 for draining purposes. is formed by an extension of thecontainer walls. and the hood 16. Positioned over this compartment 53 is the sectional cover 54 which may be removed so that ice or other cooling medium may be deposited in the compartment 53 and rest on the coils 31..
. A cover 40 is provided for the container and adapted to rest upon and seal the open end of the neck 18. This cover 40 is provided With' a circular channel 41 formed by the flanges 42 and 43. .Resting in thechannel 41 is a yieldable gasket 44 which engages the flange 19 of the neck 18. Outwardly projecting lugs 45 are formedon the cover 40 and projected through these'lugs are bolts 47 which thread into keepers 46 which are adapted to engage the under surface of the flange 19 and the inwardly projecting elongated flange 56 on the lug 45. By threading the bolt 47, thecover may be drawn so as to form an air tight connection between the flange 19 and the gasket44.
A gauge 48 is mounted in the cvoer 40 t0 indiobvious that when the compartment 53 is filled with ice and the container charged with gas under pressure, the liquid may be drawn off through the nozzle 38 and this liquid will have first been cooled in the cooling coils 31. I
In this way we have provided a compact, simple structure in which all of the features of a cooler are embodied in a single structure.
While we have illustrated and described the preferred form of construction'of our invention, we do not wish to limit ourselves to the precise details of structure shown, but desire to avail ourselves of such variations and modifications as may come within the scope of the appended claims.

A device of the class described comprising a container; aconcave partitien forming member positioned in'said container adjacent at its upper end for dividing'saidcontainer into a pair of compartments, said partition having a central opening formed therein; the tubular neck engaging at one end in said opening and extending upwardlyfrom and terminating at the upper end of said container; a cooling coil within the upper compartment and encircling said neck; an outlet delivery pipe within said container and communi-- cating with said coil;and means for communi eating with said coil in'the' upper-compartment and extending exteriorly of said container i 2. A device of the class describedcomprising a container; a concave partition forming member positioned in said container adjacent at its upper end for dividing said container into a pair oi compartments, saidpartition having a central opening formed therein; the'tubular neck engaging at one end in said opening and extending upwardly 'from andterminating at .theupper end of said container; a cover for said neck for sealing the lower compartmentfrom communication with the upper compartment; and a cover for the upper compartment removable {independently of the cover for said neck. A device of the class described comprising a container; a concave partition forming member positioned in said container adjacent at its upper end' for dividing said'cont'ainer into a pair of compartments; said'partition having a central opening formed therein; a tubular neckengaging at one end in said opening and extending upwardly from and terminating at the upper end of said container; a cover for said neck for sealing the lower compartment from communication with the upper compartment; a cover for the upper compartment removable independently of the cover for said neck; and an inlet delivery pipe extending through the cover for said neck and projecting downwardly into said container and terminating adjacent the bottom thereof.

A device of the class described comprising a container; a partition forming member positioned Within said container adjacent its upper end for dividing said container into an upper and a lower compartment, said partition forming member being concave and positioned within said container with its concave face directed downwardly, said partition forming member having a central opening formed therein; a-tubular neck engaging in said opening and projecting upwardly therefrom and terminating at the upper end of said container; a cover for said neck for sealing said come, partments from communication with each other; a cooling coil positioned in the upper compartment and resting upon said partition forming member; an outlet delivery pipe within said container and projecting, at its upper end, into said neck; means extending through said neck for communicating the upper end of said pipe with one end of said coil; an outlet delivery pipe projecting through said container. at the upper coinpartnient and communicating with the other end of said coil.

A device ofthe class described comprising a container; a partition forming member positioned within saidcontainer adjacent its upper end for dividing said container into an upper and a lower compartment, said partition forming member be ing concave and positioned within said container with its concave face directed downwardly, said partition forming member. having a central opening formed therein; a tubular neck engaging in said opening and projecting upwardly therefrom and terminatingat the upper'end of, said container; a coverfor said neck for sealing said com-v partments from communication with each other; a cooling coil positioned in the upper compartment and resting upon said partition I forming member; an; outlet delivery pipe within said containerand projecting at its upper end into said neck; means extending through said neck forcommunicating the upperend of said pipewith one end-of said, coil; an-outlet delivery pipe. project-.
