This invention relates to improvementin safety-pin holders, that is, a holder to which a number of safety pins may be attached and thereby forming a retail unit, the object of- Fig. 4 is a perspective View of theholdersplate detached.
In carrying out my invention, I employ a strip 10 of sheet metal, and struck'inward from one side are hooks 1 and 12 and in the opposite side with hooks 13 and 14. Struck outward between the hooks 11 is a lug 15, and between the hooks 12 is a similar lug 16; between the hooks 13 is a lug 17 and between the hooks 14 is a lug 18. A safety pin 19 has its body-bar 20, which carries a guard 21, set
into the hooks 11 and inside the lug 15, which 1932. Serial No. 624,540.
places a tension thereon, and another mount- 1 ing pin, corresponding to the pin 19, will be connected with each of the other pairs of hooks, and onto the pinportion 22 of each mounting pin other pins 23 (usually five) are threaded, so that each pin-unit comprises six pins.
nearer together than the hooks 11 and 14 to provide for different sizes of pins.
This holder is readily struck from sheet metal and the pins are readily mountedther e on and may be asrreadily removed therefrom.
.I claim:
- 1'. A safety-pin holder comprising a'strip ofmetal having reversely-turned hooks The hooks 12 and 13 are spaced 1 v struck outfrom its opposite edges, and a lug arranged between each pair of hooks and combined with pins bearing in said hooks and interlocked therewith by said lugs.
2. A safety-pin holder comprising a strip of metal having a pair of spaced hooks projecting outwardly-from one face ofthe said strip, the strip also formed with a lug projecting outwardly between said hooks Vcombined with a safety-pin bearing in said hooks and interlocked therewith by said lug.
In testimony whereof, I have signed this specification.
ALBERT HAGEL.
