The clip or bail 25 has fitted thereof the battery holders. in an adjustable positive pole contact 29 for the battery 24 while the frame 23 and ring 27 being associated with current leads 30 and 31 respectively to the lamp bulb 20, these leads being electrically insulated from each other in their arrangement in the band or strap 10 through the positioning therebetween of the intermediate ply 13 of said band or strap and an electric circuit is closed from said batteries 24 to the bulb 20 by a hand operated switch 32 mounted upon a pivot 33 in the band or strap 10 directly rearwardly of the lamp housing or casing19 with the outer end of said switch 32 exposed for manual control. 7 1
The clips 25 will permit the freeing of the batteries 24 from their holders on the swinging of the clip outwardly and laterally from over the positive pole ends of the battery so that these can be readily removed from the holders for replacement when the occasion requires. I
It will be noted that the leads 30 and 31 are confined within the band or strap 10 between the inner and outer plies 11 and 12 thereof with the intermediate ply 13 interposed and in this fashion such leads insulated from each other throughout their extent between the lamp housing or casing 19 and the holders 23 for the batteries 24 as will be clearly apparent. The electric circuit from the batteries 24 to the bulb 20 is opened and closed by manual manipulation of the switch 32 as will be obvious from Figures 4 and 5 of the drawings. a
What is claimed is A lamp of the character described, comprising an endless flexible band, battery holders carried at opposite sides thereof, each holder including a retaining frame for removably receiving an electric dry cell battery and having a releasable bail pivoted to the frame, the frame being fitted with an embracing ring insulated therefrom, an adjustable pole contact on the bail, a lamp housing intermediate of the battery holders and upon the band, an electric lamp within the housing,
normally open electric circuit connections between the lamp and said batteries, said circuit connections being confined within the band, and a manually operable switch mounted in the band directly rearwardly of the housing for manual operation for opening and closing the electric circuit.
In'testimony whereof I aflix my signature.
