Thedrawi-ng Fig.1; in so fa-r-as the threshold is concerned, is practically full size from whichit will be observed that the threshold consists of two parts or sections 1 and 2, the exterior part l'having a downwardly sloping outer portion terminating in.a down curved end 3 to contact with a sill 4.
The sill may be stone or other construction and the section 1 is secured in place by retaining screws 4 of which there may be several for which purpose the outwardly extending flange like portion is provided with a series of countersunk apertures 5 one of which is indicated in Fig. 2. The section 1 has a-horizontal part or step position 6 over which the lower end of the door 7 rides and this lower edge of the door 7 is provided with a bronze strip 8 having a downwardly inturned return-bent end 9 forming a channel to fit over tion 6 of the member 1 as the door is closed;
