The present inventionrelates to "automatic telephone systems and more particularly to arrangements for settingup connections and exchange interconnections in multi-exchange areas. It -is particularly. applicable to the requirements of rural telephone areas where exchanges may b'eunattended and cheapness is-desirable, but it may also be-used in connection with'si-ngle exchanges.
