OSCILLA'I'IQN GENERATOR Filed Oct. 1, 1929 INVENTOR MENDEL 0 N05 BY ,w-uu/ ATTORNEY Patented May 24, 1932 UNITED STATES, PATENT OFFICE DRAHTILOSE TELEGRAPHIE M. B.'H., OF BERLI N, GERMANY, A CORPORATION OF; A GERMANY v p c q OI'SCILLATION' GENERATOR Application filed October 1, 1929, Serial No. 396,445, and it Germany September 27, 1928.
.An applicationfor this invention was filed in Germany September 27, 1928. I
It is known that disturbances due to the ac-V tion of fading can be eliminated in radio com munication work on short waves by sending out simultaneously two or more carrier waves which difler relatively little from each other For this purpose the assumption is made that the two carrier frequencies, prior to being fed to the amplifier stage, are produced by separate generators.
Now, according to the present invention the foregoing scheme is simplified in that, for
, the production of two or morefrequencies, a
common or joint tube generator is employed whose oscillation circuits, especially the grid circuits, are designed for two or more waves in accordance with the number of frequencies to be generated. r The accompanying drawing exemplifies the present invention. For example, as illustrated in the drawing, the grid circuit of a tube oscillator can be made distinctly triple-wave by theseries conv nection of a tuning capacity C and two oscillation circuits I and II.
The three frequencies generated by the g 7 present oscillator are determined by the resonant frequencies of the two tuned circuits I, II and the third tuned circuit comprising the tuning condenser C in conjunction with the r two tuned circuits I and II.
I claim as my inventioni A generator for producing simultaneously aplurality of carrier waves of slightly dif- V fercnt frequencies comprising :an electron discharge device, and an inputcircuittherefor comprising a plurality of parallel tuned circuits tuned to difierent frequencies, serial- 1 7 1y connected together, and, a tuning condens er connected in series with'the'tuned circuits.
