IMPROVEMENT IN COMPOSITIONS FOR PAVEMENTS,"
Specification forming part of Letters Patent No. 185,064, dated December 5, 1876; application filed September 23, 1876.
To all whom it may concern:
Be it known that I, PHILIP F. BALDAUFF, of Cincinnati, Hamilton county, Ohio, have invented a new and useful Composition for Pavements, of which the following is a specification:
To six measures of coal-pitch I add two measures of coal-tar, and heat the same until thoroughly blended and in the condition of thick molasses. v I prepare a powder of two measures each of gypsum, of white chalk, and of white cement, and stir the same into the above. I then add four measures of broken marble in particles from the size of a pea to that of a walnut, according to the use or purpose of the composition, Finally, I mingle actively with the above one measure of melted zinc. The composition is then run into suita- PHILIP F. BALDAUFF.
