In a device of the class described, a lubricant container having an open end, a closure in tight frictional engagement with said end, a ring slidably carried on said container, said ring being constructed and arranged to be interposed between the closure and the container to loosen the frictional engagement.

In a device of the class described, a container having an open end, a closure for said end having a flange surrounding said opening and in tight frictional engagement therewith, an annular series of resilient outwardly turned portions at the outer edge of said flange, a slidable ring carried by said container, said ring having a portion constructed and arranged to be interposed between said container and said outwardly turned portions to loosen the frictional engagement. In a device ofthe class described, a container having an open end, a removable cover for said end, means for holding said cover in position on the open end of said container, the inside of said container being substantially cylindrical in formation and adapted to slidably receive a plunger for displacing the contentsof said container, saidopen end being entirely unobstructed when said cover is removed so that the plunger may be freely inserted or removed without distortion thereof, a receptacle for said container, and means operable by inserting said container into said receptacle for releasing the cover from said container.
13. In a device of the class described, a
substantially cylindrical container having-an open end, a tight fitting closure for said opening, a ring carriedv by said container and mounted to freely slide thereon, said ring having a portion operable by engagement with said cover to expand the tight fitting portion of said cover, whereby both ring and cover may be freely removed from said container. i

A lubricant container adapted to be in serted in the barrel of a lubricant gun, said container being of substantial cylindrical formation, an opening at one end of saidcontainer through which the lubricant may be' discharged, a detachable closure for the other end of said container, the inside of said jcontainer being substantially cylindrical in formation and unobstructed so that a plunger may be freely slidable into and out of said container, Without deformation thereof, and
