' he body portion of the table is in the form of a frame including four rectangular side'members 1, 2, 3and 4 each standing on its lower longitudinal edge. The ends of the 7 member 1 are spaced from one'end of the members 2, 3 and the ends of the member 4 are spaced from the other ends of the members 2, 3. The members 1 and 4 are connected to themembers 2, 3 and for such purso pose coupling pieces are provided which have their ends dovetailed in the inner faces of the side members. The coupling pieces are disposed at an inclination relative to and of the same height as the side members. One of the coupling pieces is indicated at 5 and the others at 6. The coupling piece '6 be} tween the side members 1 and 3 is not shown. The coupling piece 5 connects side member I 3 with side member 4. The coupling pieces so are also secured in any suitable manner to the side members. The dovetailed connection between a coupling piece and a pair of side members is indicated at 7, Figure 3. The coupling piece 5 centrally thereof is provided with an opening 8.
