The present invention relates to wall Jpockets, particularl such as are mounted on the side walls o r oors of automobiles for containing matches, cigarettes and the like; I and its principal object is to provide such a device having a container portion which may be readily removed for emptying, etc.
This and any otherand more specific objects hereinafter appearing are attained by,

In theV embodiment of the invention illus- 25 trated by the drawings, a Wall pocket device is shown comprising a base plate 1 adapted to be mounted, as by screws 2 extending therethrough, on a wall 3. This plate has outwardly vand upwardly bent portions forming upper and lower hooks or ton ues 4 and 5, 5 spaced outwardly from the ace of said plate.
A second plate`6 is slit horizontally at 7, 7 and 8, 8 and the portions 9, 10, 10 between the slits 7, 7 and the slits 8, 8 are-bent container portion 17 may be readily removed from thel hooks 4 and 5, 5 Aand as readily replaced.
The invention being intended to be pointed out in the claim, is not to be limited to or by details of construction of the particular embodiment thereof illustrated by the drawings or hereinbefore described.
I claim:
In a wall pocket; la base plate adapted for mounting on a wall and having upper and lower upwardly extending hooks spaced voutwardly from the face of said plate,L one of said hooks being springable outwardly; a plate carrying on its outer side a-container elow the upper hook in the assembled position of the plates and having horizontal slits and inwardly bent portions therebetween formin sockets in which the hooks are received 1n said assembled position, the upper edge of the second-mentioned plate extending toward and contacting the wall and' covering the upper hook in said assembled position andthe upper hook being visible in front of the inwardly bent ortlon of second-men tioned plate with W ich portion the upper hook engages in saidv assembled position.

The face of the upper hook 4 may have ornamental markings 15 which are visible through the opening 16 in plate 6 formed by bending its portion 9 inwardly. The 'outer plate 6 carries on its outer face and below the upper hook 4 a suitable container of any desired form, as that shown at 17.
