I V Mylinvention,irelates to package j sealing machines and more particularly to package sealingmachines which will moisten theseal-v ing paper or gummed paper entirely to both v 5 ends of the sealing paper section; .anduthe object is to provide simple machines which are highly efficient for cutting and. moistening gummed-service paper for sealing packages andwhich can be manufactured and in- 10 stalled at relatively small costs Other objects and advantages will be fully"ex'- plained in the following description and the invention will be more particularly pointed out-in the claims. f I

A wedge 3 is placed in thecompartment 1 in front of the gpaper roll 5' and this "weight will follow the paper rolldownwardly as the paperroll becomes smaller. Inthismanner the paper-roll will notmove so far when a section of paper vis drawn forward tobe cut off. An adjusta ble paper roll holder is provided and placed 'lIlLSlClBlOf the compartment 1 and consists of two parts 6 and 7. This arrangement is best shown in Figure 4 whereinitwillbe seen that the-parts 6'and 7 are of the general form of arcuate'angles having overlapping legs 6a 'and 7a, these legs being rabbeted as shown.
