.The eneral object of my present invention is to provide an improved construction of shower head for use in lavatories, washrooms and other places. More -s pecifically,,-it ismy object .to provide a shower head with simple, e'fiectiveand readilyclean able strainer means.
The :various features of novelty which characterize my invention are pointed out with particularity in the claims annexed 'toaan'd'torming .a part of this specification. For .a better understanding of the invention, however, its advantagesjand specific objects attained withiits use, referenceshou'ld behad to the accompanyingdrawings and descriptive matterrin which :1 have illustrated and described preferred embodiments of my invention.

In orTder to prevent leakage between the variouspa rts, rubber 1 gaskets F and-F are provided the gaslretiF being positioned between the; lower end of the Vertical flange A and the face plateD and thegasket F positioned about theprojection'gB and between the closed end of the supply pipe member B and face plate D.
In the assembly of the component parts of V the shower head fiXture the supply pipe member B is threaded into the vertical threaded portion A of the showerhead casing Auntil s the flange B engages with the lower part of on the projecting member. l3v withthe. verti-' the portion A. In use the shower head is threaded onto the water supply pipe connection (not shown).
In the normal use of the disclosed structure, the water passes from the supply pipe con nection down through the supply pipe member B, passingout through the lateral open- 'ings B into the shower head casing chamher. The strainer C covering the openings -B )revents an forei n matter from assin C out: to clog up the perforations in the face plate D.- The liquid is forced out of the shower head chamber through the multi- "plicity of vertical passages D and descends in the form of a spray.
The shower head'shownand described is of simple and compact construction, especially easy to assemble and. clean. The parts are so arranged that when the perforated face plate member D is removed as for cleaning, the tubular strainer will drop off by gravity, prac tically insuring that the strainer part Cwill be cleaned wheneverthe face plate D is removed. This is a desirable characteristicof the invention since a periodic'cleaning of the strainer'and face plate is essential for the -maintenance of the best operating conditions,
