IMPROVEMENT IN HARROWS.
Specification forming part of Letters Patent No. 178,686, dated June 13, 1876; application filed April 4, 1876.
To all whom it may concern Be it known that 1, WILLIAM TAYLOR, of St. Louisville, in the; county of Licking and State of-0hio, have invented a new and useful Improvement in Hal-rows, of which the following is aspecification:

The object of this invention is to furnish an improved harrow which shall be so constructed that it will readily adjust itself to irregularities in the surface of the ground, and will alloy either side to be raised to pass obstructions, and to clear it of rubbish.
The invention consists in the combination of the hinging-rod, the adjustable hinged draw -rod, and the adjusting-bar with the hinged bars of the barrow-frame, as hereinafter fully described.
- A are the side bars, and B is the cross-bar, of the harrow. G arethe barrow-teeth, which are attached tothe bars A B. The forward ends of the side barsA meet at an angle, and are hinged to each other and to the forward end of the rod D. The cross-bar B is made in two parts, the outer ends of which are rigidly attached to the rear parts of the side bars A, and their inner ends are hinged to each other and to the rear end of the rod D.
