The primary object of this invention is the provision of a rotary pump by means of which water or other liquid may be elevated from a low to a higher level, without the use of valves and like expedients, and I discharged in a stream facing in a predetermined direction. Other objects and advantages of this inveno tion will be apparent duringthe course of the following detailed description. 1

The support may be a beam, floor, or oth- 39 Ler type of support, and it is provided with a suitable collar 10, to which the uprights 12 of the frame B are connected, as shown at'13. The uprights 12 are four in number, spaced 90 apart, but they may be of any approved number, and the frame may be otherwise formed. The uprights 12 extendfrom the collar 10 in depending parallel relation for their major length, and at the lower ends thereof the same are bowed outwardly at 15, in an opposed divergent relation. The
diametrically opposed uprights 12 at their extreme lower ends are bent at 16, inwardly, and connected by horizontal portions 17 and 18, which are in right angled relation and cross "each other in an intersecting relation with the axis of the rotary pump D. The uprights 12 at their upper ends extend above the collar 10 and are bowed inwardly at 21, to support a bearing 22, as by detachable bolts 23.
The pump D preferably comprises the preferably vertically disposed body "conduit :30, the walls of which are preferably straight, but may be taperedto enable a better centrifugal action, iffound necessary. The conduit body 30 extends vertically through the frame 13 be- 5 tween the spaced uprights 12 of saidframe, and it extends upwardly thru the bearing 22. toa point thereabove. The top frame bearing 7 22 is preferably anti-friction, includingroll ers 32, and this bearing, in fact, 'is' ringshaped, and supporting the rollers 32 in an. annular relation so that the external periphl-f ery of the conduit 30 will abut in bearing relation thereagainst, as is shown in Figure 1 of 1 the drawings, to permit a'free rotation of said conduit. p
'At the lower ends of the uprights 12, pref erably where the portions 15 of the uprights bow in a divergent relation, is disposed a bearing 36, bolted or riveted'at 37 to the uprights 12, and which includes a ring-shaped body having an annular arrangement of anti friction rollers 89, thru which the lower end of the conduit extends in abearing rela tion thereagainst. An intermediate ring Y5 shaped bearing40, is bolted or riveted at 41' to the uprights 12, me location about midway between the bearings 22 and 36, and the same provides an opening having an arrangef ment of anti-friction rollers or bearings 43 therein, thru which and against which the conduit'30 extends, in a rotary bearing 'rela-- tion, as' shown inFigure 1 a v At its upper end, above the bearing 22, the conduit 30 is provided with means to drive the same,whic h may be gearing, but is preferably apulleyjwheel 5O keyed therewith, having a belt'51 trained thereover and leading to any desired prime mover.
