To-thisend, I have provided links 3737 which are respectively pivoted at one end as at 38 to the associated end wall of the bed frame. The otherend of each link is pivotally connected to the fork 36 of the associated pole through themedium of a ball and socket connection 39. The poles are normally positioned centrally between the side walls of the bed spring, and the links 37 serve to maintain said polesin these positions. When it is desired to fold each pole within the associated box section, said pole is elevated, therey swinging the link 37 aboutthe pivot 38. After the fork 36 has been disengaged from the associated end wall of the bed frame, the pole is moved tothe left to the position shown in Fig. 6 after which the pole is folded and moved downwardly into a horizontal plane within the associated box section, this movement beingpermitted by reason of the ball joint 39.
