Description

Aug. 5, 1930. M. WERBER COMBINATION GARMENT Filed Nov. 13. 1928 avwawcoi Max ulerber;
33 hQsfM IS Q/EQMFAQI I l atented Aug. 5,. 1930 UNITED STATES PATENT OFFICE,
' MAX WEIRBER, OF POUG-HKEEPSIE, NEW YORK COMBINATION GARMENT Application fiIedNdvember 13, 1928. Serial No. 319,113.
when not in use to be folded against, the ins ner side of the coat and securedin such a position.
Another object of the invention is to provide in such a combination garment, a pair of leggings shaped to the leg and provided with attaching means to secure the same around the leg, and also means to prevent the same from forming a bunch under the nee.
Still another'object being to provide means I for securing the leggings to the coat, wherep by as the leggings are bent by the leg in the act of sitting, no strain will be exerted on the coat to pull it out of shape. 7 With these and other objects in view, my invention consists in certain construction and combination of parts as will hereinafter be fullydescribed and claimed and illustrated in the accompanying drawings which form a part hereof and, in which like figures of reference refer to corresponding parts in all 7 of the views, audit is understood that slight changes may be made without departing from the spirit of the invention.
In the drawings:
Figure 1 shows the inside of a combination garment, comprising a coat with leggings attached thereto.
Figure 2 shows the same, but with the leggings unfolded and ready for use.
leggings as they would appear when in use.
Referring to the drawings:
The combination garment comprises a coat 1, made of any suitablematerial such as cloth or leather, and provided with a lining 2, of fur or other suitable material, and tothe upon the coat and upward pull upon the Figure 3 is a similar View; showing the.
lower edge of said lining 2, is secured a pairofleggings also of leather or cloth with a lining; said leggings 4, being attached to the coator coat lining by a portion 3, which is made of suitable material such as a rubber cloth that will stretch in one direction, so
that as the leggin is bent in the act of sitting, this portion will become elongated and prevent any pull or stretch on the lining of the coat, preventing the leggin from being torn OK, or the coat pulled out of shape.
The leggin is also shaped to fit the leg, andprovided with a cut out portion 5 under the knee, to prevent bunching as the leg is V bent; and the edges are provided with a series of snap, fasteners 6, to secure the same around the leg, and to coact with tabs 7, secured to the inner surface of the coat to hold the leggins in a folded position.
Having thus described my invention, what I claim as new and desire to secure by Letters Patent, is
A combination garment comprising a coat and a vpair of leggins, the upper front part of said leggins formed with a tongue of' stretchable material attached in a permanent manner to the lower inner edge of said coat,
allowing said tongue to elongate as the leg is bent, preventing excessive downward pull leggin.
In testimony whereof I aflix my signature.
MAX WERBER.
