Be it known that I, EUCILER TREMBLAY,. of Ohicopee Falls, in thefState of Massachu--- setts, have invented a new and usetul Improvement in Horse-Rakes; and thatthc following is a full, clear, andexact description thereof, reference being had to the accompanying drawings, making'a part of this specification and description, and to the letters of reference marked thereon.

The object of my invention is to adjust the beams which carry the raketeeth `and the clearers to any desired heightwith reference to the axle of the machine, and to provide an adjustable foot-rest and lever, for the greater 4 slot and securing it; and it also consists-of a tooth-socket made in two parts. the one part provided with a vertical loop, through which the tooth extends, and the other part provided with an eye or socket, into which the end of the tooth is hooked, with a verticalv stud projecting upward from either part by the side of the tooth,.to keep the latter in place. It also consists of a lever pivoted either to the lower end of the seat-bar or to the crossbar, to which 'lever is pivoted a foot-rest, which may be adjusted upon the lever by a bolt inserted through the lever and foot-piece, either farther from or nearer to the seat, to accom modate the driver in operating the beams which carry the rake-teeth and clearers, as will be more fully hereinafter described.
