Myinvention relates to wall cabinets and 1s articularly addressed to'providing a wall cabinet with means whereby articles suoli as razor blades and similar waste articles which cannot safely be left lying around may be" easily disposed of.
In the drawings Fig. 1 is a front v iew of a cabinet showing door open. Fig. 2 1s 'an enlarged cross section the central portion o f which has been removed, and Fig. 3 is a. similar view to Fig. 2 showin a modificatlon.
In the drawings, A is t e back of the cabinet, B is the door and C is the sides. As shown the cabinet is made of metal although any desired material could be used, but in making it of metal the outer edge of the sides and top and bottom C are'bent in rectangular form so as to form the bead or edge D to which the door B is attached as shown in Fig. l by the hinges F. In placing these cabinets it is usual to place them so that they are attached to studdin-g Gr with the beading D as the only portion that extends beyond the wall. In other words, the cabinets are usually embedded in the wall in this way. On the back wall of the cabinet over an opening I attach` a plate'Hf;
Fig. 1- having its upper portion free but adapted to rest against the back C of the,I cabinet is provided, the lower portion o'f the' late being bent so as to be parallel to the ottom of the drawer and is spot welded to the bottom of the drawer at O. As will be seen this plate has the portion J and the opening K through which the blades or other art'c es may be passed, and they drop into a' compartment P from which they can be removed by taking out the drawer and slightl drawing the plateH away from the back en The plate being metal plate can be readily drawn back and will when released after all the articles have been dropped out of the compartment return to its normal position.
