This invention relates to turntables, 'and its general object is to provide a turntable that is primarily designed for carrying motor vehicles about service and filling` stations, garages and the like where space is limited. I n t An important object of the invention is to provide a turntable that includes. removable sections, with the result the sections can be replaced in an easy and expeditious manner in case of damage or the like thereto, and ready access can be had to the space below the turntable for repairs and the like.
Another object of the invention is to provide a turntable that is simple in construction, inexpensive to manufacture and install and extremely eiiicient in operation and service.
This invention also consists in certain 29 other features of construction and in the combination and arrangement of the seven al parts, to be hereinafter yfullydescribed, illustrated in the accompanying drawings and specifically pointed out in the appended claims.
ln describing my invention in detail, ref erence will be had to the accompanying drawings wherein like characters denote like or corresponding parts throughout the several views, and in which:
Figure 1 is a diagrammatic view illustrating the application of my turntable with respect to a service or filling station for motor vehicles.

Referring to the drawings in detail, it will be noted from Figure 1 that l have illustrated my turntable employed at a service or lling station which is indicated by the letter A but I want it understood'that the turntable can be employed at any place desired whereby it may be useful. f
In the installation of the turntable, awell l is provided and disposed within this well 1 is a block 2 having arranged centrally therein a seini-splierical recess to accommodate a relatively large ball 3 mounted for rotation therein, and said ball supports a block 4 that Yis likewise provided with a semi-spherical recess to accommodate the ball as best shown in Figure 4. The block 4 is spaced from the block 2 by the ball. Arranged on the upper surface of the block 4 is a disk 5 whichr supports a relatively smaller disk 6 from which radiate bars 7 of inverted T-shape in vcross section, the flanges of the bars being arranged to accommodate substantially triangle shape plates 8 that are of a size to fit between the bars as best shown in Figure 2, and disposed upon the triangle shape plates are like shaped slabs 9 of concrete. By this construction, it will be apparent that the plates and slabs 9 are removable, so that ready access may be had to the space below the turntable if desired, 'f
and these slabs as well as the plates can be replaced in an easy and expeditious manner in the event of damage thereto.` The outer edges .of the plates and slabs are rounded as shown, and these rounded outer edges cooperate with each other to provide a turntable of the usual circular shape as best shownv in Figure 2.
Arranged concentric with respect to the well 1 is an annular guide member 10 supported upon the ground or a suitable foun dation and this annular guide member 10 isvprovided with an annular groove within which is arranged a plurality of balls 11, the latter being received in a like groove formed in an upper annular guide member that is disposed in spaced relation with respect to the lower annular guide member 10. vThe upper annular guide member 12 has extending therefrom and outwardly thereof, a flange 13 which is provided with teeth depending from the lower surface thereof for the purpose of meshing with teeth of a gear 14 secured to the armature shaft of an electric motor l5 that is mounted in a well for the purpose of rotating the turntable as will be apparent. The well which accommodates .the electric motor is provided with a suitable cover 16.
Vhile I have disclosed an electric motor for rotating the turntable, I want-it understood that any desired power may be employed for this purpose, butin any'event it will be obvious that when the power means is put into operation, the gear 14 by meshing with the teeth of the ange 13', the turntable ywill be rotated, and any suitable means may be employed for controlling the powery means.
It is thought from the foregoing description that the advantages and novel features of my invention will be readily apparent.
I desire it to be understood that I may male changes in the construction and in the combination and arrangement of the several parts, provided that'such changes fall within the scope of the appended claims.
What I claim is:
l. A turntable comprising a central pivot, inverted substantially T-shaped bars radiating from the central pivot, bearing means supporting the outer ends of said bars, substantially triangle shape plates having rounded outer edges supported by the flanges of the bars, slabs following the shape ofthe plates and supported thereby, and means for rotating said turntable.
2. A turntable comprisingl a central bear ing, bars radiating from the central beari ing and having its inner ends supported thereby, flanges formed with the bars, bearing means supporting the outer ends of said bars, substantially triangle shape plates' having rounded outer edges resting upon the flanges, slabs of concrete resting upon the plates and following the shape thereof, and means forV rotating said turntable. l
