, The embodiment of my-invent1on shown 2o in Figures 1 and 2 comprises a door 11 provided to close the opening 12 in the refrigerator cabinet 13, and itself consisting essentially of a sheet metal inner facing 14 and a sheet metal outer facing 15, with the space therebetween filled with suitable heat insulating material 16, such las metal wool, with 3o two facings 14 and 15 cordingly integrated without conductin con member the two facin s 17 and 18 su stantially abutting along the peripheral edge of the door 11, and with the secured together, heat insulated from each other, and the door acnection between the facings 14 and 15, y an annular member 19 formed of suitable heat insulating material, such as'wood, connected to the inner facing 14 by means ofa plurality of nails 20 extendin through the edge 17 Aof the inner facing 14 into the annular member 19, and secured to the outer facing 15 by curling the ed e 18 ofthe outer facing 15 about a projecting rib 21 on the annular member 19 with the inner edge 18Aof the outer facing 15 terminatin short of engagement with the edge 17, of t e inner facing 14 Mounted on the inner face 22 of the rib 21, by means of suitable nails 23, is a resilient 24 serving to tightly seal the space between the door 11 and the cabinet 13, while the door 11 is su ported fromthe cabinet 13 by means of inges 25 secured to the 14 and 15 having their edges cabinet 13 by means of suitable wood screws 26, and to the door 11 by means of similar wood screws 27 extending through the outer facing 15 into the annular member 19, and the door 11 is held in closed position by means of a latch 28 similarly secured to the cabinet 13, and to the door 11.
The embodiment of my invention shown in Figure 3 comprises a door 31 provided to close the opening 32 in the refrigerator cabinet 33, and itself consisting essentially of sheet metal inner facing 34 and a sheet metal outer facing 35, with the 4space therebetween filled with suitable heat insulating material 36, such asiifietal wool, with the two facings 34 and 35 having their edges 37 and 38 substantially abutting along the peripheral edge of the door 31, and with the two facings 34 and 35 secured together, heat insulated from each other, and the" door accordingly integrated without conducting connection between the facings 34 and 35, by an annular member 39 formed of suitable heatinsulating material, such' as wood, connected to the inner facing 34 by curling the edge 37 into an annular groove 40 formed in the annular member 39, and secured to the outer facing 35 by curling the edge 38 of the outer facing 35 about a projecting rib '41 on the annular member 39 with the inner edge 38 of the outer facing 35 terminating short of engagement with the edge 37 of the inner facing 34. i Mounted on the inner face 42 of the rib 41, by means of suitable nails 43, isa resilient member 44 serving to tightly seal the space between the door 31 and the cabinet 33, while the door 31 is supported from the cabinet 33 by neans of suitable hinges 45 secured to the cabinet 33 by means of suitable wood screws 46, and to the door 31 by `means of similar wood screws 47 extending throu h the outer facing 35 into the annular mem er 39, and

I claim: ,l A door for refrigerator cabinets comprising a frame member formed of heat insulating material, a rib extending laterally-from the front of said frame memberand provided with spaced grooves, a sheet metal outer facj ing enclosing the front of said frame member and said rib, and a sheetmetal inner facmgsubstantially enclosing the remainder of sa1d frame member, the edges of each of said falcings projecting into the grooves in said yze; In testimonywhereof I hereunto` affix my signature.
