IMPROVEMENT IN RAILROAD-TIES.
Specification forming part of Letters Patent No. 176,213, dated April 18, 1876; application filed March 13, 1876.
To all whom it may concern Be it known that I, GEORGE D. BLAISDELL, of Cambridge, Lamoille county, Vermont, have invented a new and Improved Railroadlie, of which the following is a specification My improved tie consists of a cast-iron bar, with a box in each end for holding the railchairs, and a rod extending from end to end of ihetie, and securing the chairs in place by clamping-plates, all as hereinafter described.
Figure 1 is a plan view of my improved tie. Fig. 2 is partly a side elevation and partly a longitudinal sectional elevation, and Fig. 3 is an end elevation. 7
