It is to be understood that with the removal of forms 1 the nails 4 are left hanging within the inverted V-shaped channels of the attachments 3. Metal lath of any desired type, as for example wire mesh 15, is now positioned to receive ceiling plaster 16, see Fig. 2. In securing the wire mesh 15 in place the same is wired as at 16 to the exposed Wire members 11 as best seen in Fig. 4. lVhile the'above described structure is adapted for any desired form of floor, ceiling or like structure it is especially efficient where ceiling beams are formed, as shown in the drawings, because the metal lath can be stretched taut and very easily wired to the attachments which latter may be'p'ositioned upon both side and bottom walls of a beam.
I am aware that the invention may be embodied in other specific forms without departing from the spirit or essential attributes thereof, and I therefore desire the present embodiment to be considered in all respects as illustrative and not restrictive, reference being had'to the appended claim rather than to the foregoing description to indicate the scope of the invention.
Vhat I claim is: A metal lath support for concrete construction comprising an elongated, inverted, V-
shaped, thin metal device having a continuous upper acute ridge arranged centrally thereof and extending throughout its length,
said acute ridge being apertured for the reception of a series of nails, the opposed ends of said device being each outwardly and downwardly inclined, which inclined parts each terminate in an outwardly flaring, flat, foot. of a width in excess of the width of said member, the open bottom of which invert-ed V-shaped device has extended thereacross a wire member the ends of which are extended upwardly around the upper, acute, inclined surface of said device in the shape of a. triangle considered in cross section. and twisted together with the free ends thereof extended in opposed relation, transversely to the longitudinal axis of said device.
