In Fig. 3 I have shown a modification of the invention in which a box has in one side a round opening through which the end 26 of the supporting member 27 extends, and the other side has an oblong opening 28 through which the curved end 29 of member 27 may be placed after the end 26, has been passed through the opening on the left hand side of the box. This arrangement permits of the ready removal of the member 27 from the box if such removal is desired. A hook 30 on the light supporting member 31 is placed over the member 27 in the same manner and for the same purpose above described.

By the provision of the above simple means, the light supporting member of a ceiling fixture may be placed in or removed from posltion very easily and without the requirement of any substantialskill or expense, and at the same time all of the advantages and benefits secured by the constructions as heretofore used.

Slight changes may be made in the details without departing-from my invention, as for instance, the hook may be placed on the member 5 and the'loop -on the lamp supporting member. I
