The inventionaalso aims to provide a connection of this character which will afford a slight amount of resiliency between the club head and shaft thereby compensating for the 2b rigidity of the steel shaft against torsional yield.
The invention also aims to provide a method and means by which the club head and shaft may be secured together in an extremely simple and economical manner.
With these and other. objects in view, the invention includes the novel method and means or construction hereinafter described and defined by' the appended claim. I
What I at present consider the referred embodiment of said invention is i ustrated in the accompanying drawing in which:

Thereafter, the shaft end is screwed into the bore until'the sleeve is firmly wedged theretape'red to correspond to the in, and compressed between the shaft and bore of the club head or hosel. v

In the form shownin Fig.3, the bore of the hosel 1 is shown asprovided with a helical rib 1 and the sleeve with a helical groove 3 to receive the rib, being a reversal of'the arran ement shown in Figs. 1 and 2.
