ingredients are varied in a small amount either way. I
These ingredients are mixed in the following manner: The gilsonite and rosin are put in one container. The coal tar in another. Both are heated until thoroughly melted and boiling. The coal tar is then added to the mixture-stirred thoroughly-put in cans and set away to cool. When cold the composition is too thick for use, but is thinned with galscpline or benzine, as wanted and applied My composition is water proof, isweather proof, adheres without cracking when it dries to the surface to which it is applied, and is very etficient in all respects as it helps nature to heal and cover all wounds for which it is made.
I claim- 1. A tree paint consisting of fifty'pounds of gilsonite, ten pounds of rosin, ten gallons of coal tar and four gallons of gasoline.
2. A tree paint consisting of a mixture of gilsonite, coal-tar, rosin and gasoline substantially in the proportions set forth. WALTER G. CORNELIUS.
