The tongue is notched at its base to receive the wire of the hanger hold the shoulder piece in the hanger.
The invention will to more effectively fixed relation with be more fully explained in connection with the accompanying drawilliistrating the preferred form of H19 in which Fig. 1 is a perspective view hanger and one method of use thereof; Fig. 2 "is an enlarged view of a part of the structure as it appears in Fig. '1, the garment b sent; Fig. the shoulder pieces apart from the eing ab- 3 is a perspective view of one of hanger and Fig. 4 is a sectional view on line 44 of Fig. 2.
The hanger illustrated is completely formed of wire, it being inclusive of a base portion 1 and two upper portions which converge upwardly from the said base portion with gral. The meeting ends of the par 3 are twisted together, one of the being continued into a hook 4 by w 2 and 3 ends of which they are intets 2 and se parts hich the 1928. Serial No. 281,329.
.hanger into engagement with the adjacent bight portion 9 of the hanger upon the other side of the hanger. There is a slot 10 in each shoulder piece and opposite the tongue, the adjacent end portion of the hanger being passed through this slot into engagement with the corresponding tongue. Each shoulder piece is thus provided with a continuation 11 oppositethe tongue and also extending from the body portion into en-- gagement with the same side of the hanger which is engaged by the tongue. The tongue has notches 12 at its base, these notches receiving the wire of the hanger to provide interlocking engagement between the hanger and shoulder piece. The shoulder pieces effectively position the garment upon the hanger and prevent the garment from slipping along and off the hanger.
Changes may be made without departing from the invention.
Having thus described my invention, 1 claim:
