In a condenser combination, a series of aligned condenser units, each unit having selectively movable plates, a control shaft operatively connected to corresponding plates of each unit for simultaneous control thereof, a plurality of tubular shafts concentric with said control shaft, and means associated with said tubular shafts for selcctively moving other plates of each unit.

A condenser combination comprising a plurality of variable condenser units, shaft supporting means for the rotatable elements of each condenser unit, means for rotating said means, and means including a smgle set of concentri :ally arranged control shafts for selectively adjusting the normally stationary elements.

In a condenser combination, a plurality of condensers aligned in a common plane, each condenser having plates selectively movable in said plane, rotatable shafts for supporting corresponding movable plates in said. condensers, means connecting said shafts for simultaneous rotation thereof, a plurality of tubular shafts surrounding one of said first mentioned shafts, and means connecti g said tubular shafts to other movable plates in said condensers for selective rotation thereof.
