This invention relates to certain novel im- Y proveniente in bubble blowers, which I call a bubble shooter, and more particularly to an arrangement of parts that will permit the successive discharge of bubbles.

Then when a bubble is discharged by blowing through the bubble pipe a membrane is left on the wiping shelf or in the end of the blower pipe ready for the formation of another bubble and should it miss a membrane may be formed by wiping action of the linger tip over the wiping plate in the direction oi' the outlet end portion of the blower pipe.
A further object of the invention resides in the novel manner ot' associating a soap suds container with a blower pipe in position where the soap suds confined in the container finds exit contiguous the outlet end portion of the blower pipe in a position to be engaged by the finger tip, if necessary, for reasons hereinafter understood.
Other objects will appear hereinafter.
The invent-ion consists in the combination and arrangement of parts to be hereinafter described and claimed.
The invention will be best understood by reference to the accompanying drawings illustrating the preferred form of my invention and in which Fig. 1 is a perspective view ot' the invention.

To accomplish the various objects of the invention I provide a blower pipe 10 which is formed of such material as will not be in-V jurious to the lips or mouth oit' the user. This blower pipe l() defines an outlet end portion 11 tapered downwardly from the top side 12 of the blower pipe and outwardly toward the lower surface 12 of the blower pipe to define an inclined end surface 13. The outlet end portion 11 defines a bevelled edge portion 14 which extends around the discharge mouth 15 of the blower ipe 10.
Associated wit the blower pipe 10 is a neck 16 substantially Usshaped in form and defining a curved intermediate portion 17 adapted for snug engagement with the lower surface 12 of the outlet end 11 of the blower pipe 10. This neck 16 defines tabs 18 adapted to be connected, by soldering or welding or the like, to adjacent wall portions 19 of a container 20 including a cover 21 defining an air inlet opening 22. This container 2() defines a bottom wall 23 which is curved to conform to the curvature of the top surface 12 of the outlet end portion of the blower pipe l0 whereby the container 20 may be snugly seated upon the blower pipe 10 and be retained in such position through the medium of the neck 16. This container defines in its wall portion 24 spaced outlet openings 26 through which the soap suds, coniined in the container, is adapted to find exit and flow downwardly over the bevelled edge 14 on top and opposite sides ot the outlet end portion 11 onto a wi ing plate 2T formed as a continuation of tllie neck 16. This wiping plate`27 has its outer end portion 28 curved downwardly to allevi ate a sharp edge and aid in the speed discharge ot bubbles. From the end portion 28 the edge portions 29 of the wiping plate curve upwardly and terminate into corner portions 30 of the neck 16. These corner portions, which are disposed at the junction between the edge portions 29 and the neck 16, are flared outwardly from the bevelled edge 14 whereby to dene together with the bevelled edge 14 channels 31 on opposite sides of the outlet end portion 11 and through which the soap suds is adapted to iow from the con-` tainer onto the wiping plate 27.
To govern the iow or' soap suds through the outlet openings 26 I confine in the container 20 an absorbent strip of material 32 whereby the soap suds in order to find exit through the outlet openings 26, will have to iirst pass through the strip 32 in its passage to the outlet openings 26. This arrangement provides a slow stream of soap suds over the bevelled edge 14 and down the channels 31.
To formulate a bubble the bubble blower, above described, is operated in the following manner The cover 21 is removed from covering position with respect to the container' 20 to permit a quantity of soap suds to be confined in the container 20 after which the cover 21 is placed, it' desired, in covering position with respect to the container 20. The soap suds will be absorbed by the strip 32 and after this Cil strip 32 has absorbed its full capacity of soap suds, the superfluous soap suds will find slow exit through the outlet openings 26 over the bevelled edge 14 through the channels 3l and onto the wiping plate 27. After a certain amount of soap s'uds has been confined upon the wiping plate 27 if necessary the user may place the tip el? his finger inwardly of the curved end portion 28 and draw his finger tip toward the outlet end portion ll in wiping action on Atheplate QT wl'iereby to wipe a certain amount of soap suds onto and over the mouth of the out-let ond portion thereby de fining a thin meinte-:rue over this mouth. The blower' pipe l0 isnow placed with the end portion l0 in the mouth and by blowing through the pipe l0 a bubble will start to torni at the outlet end portion ll. As this bubble grows in size its weight will have a tendency to move the bubble downwardly. ln this downward movement the bubble (not shown) may have its inner end pori ion over the opening l5 and up the container il() and resting upon the wiping plate 2l' and thereby be steadied.
For exceptionally large bubbles it is advisable to reverse the blower Apipe so as to dispose the container at the under side thereof whereby the wipi n plate 2T will not inter iere with the formation of the bubble, but will help to hol(` suine in position. [t is pointed out that the air inlet opening is oi such size as will not permit any great annount el soup suds to find exit therethrough and so will aid in ine-.king the bubble when the blower pipe l() reversed in the position above mentioned.
While l have illustrated and described the preferred form ol coirnruction fior carrying my invention into i rt, this capable olE variation and modification without depart ing from the spirit of the invention. I, therefore, do not wish te be limited to the precise details of construction set forth, but desire to avail myself of such varizfitions and modifications as come within the scope of the appended claims.
Having thus described my invention, what I claim as new and desire to protect by LettersPatentis:
l. In a device ot the character stated, a tubular stem, and a plate extending' beyond the outlet end of the stem at the lower portion thereof, said plate having a neck embracing the lower portion of the ste11'1,the plate flaring laterally at its juncture I'ith the neck and the stein extending beyond the neck and defining with the flared portion of the plate channels extending about the lateral portions of the outlet end ol" the stein.
In a device of the character stated, a 'tubular stein, a plate extending beyond the outlet enc l the stein at the lower portion thereof, said plate having a neck embracing the lower portion el the stem, the plate flaring laterally at its juncture with the neck and the stem extending beyond the neck and defining with the flaredportion of the plate channels extending aboutthe lateral portions of the outlet end oi the stein, and a container fitting about the upper portion of the stem above said neck, said container being provided with outlet openings in its outer end and at opposite sides of the transverse center thereof.
3. In a device of the character stated, al tubular stern, a plate extending beyond the outlet end of the stein at the lower ortion thereof", said plate having a neck ein racing the lower portion ot the stelrnithe plate flaring laterally at its juncture with the neck andthe stein extending beyond the neck and de lining with the liared portion of the plate channels extending about the late'al portions of the outlet end of the stern, and a con tainer tilting about `the upper portion of the stem above said neck and secured tothe neck, said container being provided with outlet openings in its outer end and at opposite sides of? the ltransverse center thereof.
4. ln a device of the character stated, ai tubular stein, a plate extending beyond the outlet end of the stem at the lower portion thereof, said plate having a neck embracing the lower portion of the stem, the plate flaring laterally at its juncture with the neck and the stem extending beyond the neck and defining with the flared portion of the plate channels extending about the late al portions of the outlet end of the stem, the neck liavingupwardly extending tabs, and a container mounted on the upper portion of the stem above the neel; and secured in position by said tabs, said container having openings through its outer end and at opposite sides ol the transverse center thereof.
