The third winding of the tuningapparatus is represented at 33 carried bytho angular extension 34 of the angle member 14. This third winding may be of the spider web construction arranged in such manner that close coupling may be secured with respect to the windings 28 and 24. It will be observed that coil 3 "3 may be moved by increments'to various positions such as the dotted line position 33 under control of the knob 6 andscrew threaded shaft '5. By providing a very fine pitch in a position where the associated electrical cr uits mav be controlled at maximum efficiency. ' Thecoil structure 25,26, 27 and 28 1S extremely light and does not place any undue strain upon the basket wound inductance 24 which serves as the sole means of support for the coil system 28. The rod members 26 are shaped of such size that they readily pass through and are longitudinally adjust-' able withiii the spaces between the basket woven turns of the inductance 24.
The invention as illustrated herein has been found to be very practical in its construction and arrangement of parts' However, I desire it to be understood that modifications may be made and that no limitations upon the invention are intended other than are imposed by the scope of the appended claims.
What I claim as new and desire to secure by Letters Patent of the United States is as follows:
1. Tunin apparatus comprising in combination a bracket member, a pair of longitudinally extending rod members supported by said bracket member, an inductance coil adjustably positioned on said rod members, means adjustably carried by said inductance coil for supporting a cooperating inductance coil in spacial relation thereto and a. separate inductance adj ustably carried by said bracket member for movement with respect to said first mentioned inductance coils.

A tuning apparatus comprising in combination a bracket arranged to be mounted adjacent the rear of a panel structure, an insulated frame structure carried by said bracket, an inductance coil slidably mounted on said frame structure, a supplemental frame structure slidably carried by said inductance coil, an inductance coil supported by said supplemental frame structure and ar ranged to be coupled with said first mentioned inductance coil. and a third inductance coil adjustably carried by said bracket and arranged to be moved into and out of the field of said aforementioned inductance coils.

Tuning apparatus comprising in combination a bracket member arranged to lie immediately adjacent a panel structure. a bearing member passing through said bracket member and said panel structure, a shaft member journaled in said bearing member and rotatable from one side of said panel structure, a pair of inductance coils sup ported by said bracket member, an angle member pivotally mounted with respect to said bracket member and controllable in position by rotation of said shaft member, said angle member carrying an inductance coil variable 1n spaclal relation with respect to said aforementioned inductance 0011s.
5. Tuning apparatus comprising in combination a bracket member arranged to be mounted upon the rear of a panel structure,
, a bearing carried by one end of said bracket member and a coil support carried bythe other end of said bracket member, a pa1r of inductance coils carried by said support, an angle member plvotally mounted interme diate the ends of said bracket member and member with respect to the inductance coils" supported from said bracket member.
6. Tuning apparatus comprising in combination a bracket member arranged to be.se cured adjacent the rear of a panel structure a bearing carried by one end of said bracket member and a coil support carried by the opposite end thereof, a pair of inductance coils carried by said support, anangle member pivotally mounted in a position intermediate the ends of said bracket-member, means for constantly urging said angle member in the direction of said coil support, an inductance coil carried adjacent one end of said angle member, a micrometer screw journaled in said bearing and means controlled by said micrometer screw in engagement with the opposite endof'said angle member for controlling thev movement of the inductance coil carried by said angle member with respect to the inductance coils carried by said coil support.
7 Tuning apparatus comprising in combination a bracket member arranged to be mounted on the rear of a panel, a plurality of inductance coils supported from said bracket member, an angle member adjustably positioned with respect tosaid bracket member,
an inductance carried by said angle member,
and a pair of ball members located bet-ween oppositesides of said angle memberand said bracket member for facilitating ad ustment of said angle member in said bracket member.
8. Tuning apparatus comprising in combination a bracket member for supporting an inductance device, an angle member carrying ii-separate inductance device,and means for jOlll'l'lflllIl" said angle member in said bracket:
