MAGNETIC-LOCK-OPERATING DEVICE.

The bank 1 is fully described in my cepending application referred to, and thereforewill only be sufficiently described herein to show the operativeness ofthe. magnetic lock operating device ot which this is a specification.
Figure 1 shows the bank asa bowl shaped receptacle 1 closed with a ilathead or plate 2 having a hinged door 3 and a coin slot el.
The door is preferably spring actuated so as to fly open whenunlocked vand is locked when closed by sliding iron or steel bolts 5 thrown inward by springs G all concealed below the plate 2 permanently secured to thel shell of the bowl, and is only unlocked by magnetic influence applied at the proper points at opposite sides of the shell by the special electroma gnet 7 shown in Figure 2.

This switch 11 is positioned so that it comes directly under the end of the bank as indi' cated in Figure 1 so that upon pressing down` ward onl the rear end of the bank the switch will alsor be depressed to com lete the circuit not have aftendencyto be impeded through from the lead wires 12 an 12. delivering alternating current from the ordinary light socket.
The switch and magnet .are preferably mounted on a pair of insulating bases 13-18 with the wiring to the magnet concealed between them, and the dotted extensions 12 and 12 of the electric leads show the suby panel path of the current to theterminals 14e-14C respectively of the magnet windings. A

1.v A magnetic-lock operating device coniprising a support for carrying a'V bank having .a curved Wall, a portion of said support to contact Withsaid curvedvyall and to conformY therewith, magnets carried by said support and being. positioned so as to lie opposite magnetic bolts carried by a bank when the bank is disposed place and means for energizing said magnets.
