Thus, when the l two edges B and C of the blank 8 are positioned between the bars, the spring pressed pins 23 will have a tendency to properly position the edges whereby to cause the adhesive on edge B to adhere to edge C. In order to facilitate drying of the adhesive the edges together,

o It will be apparent from the foregoing that in using myimproved device the form A has the adhesive applied at B, the edges then placed between the bars 5 as shown in Fig. 6, with the end portions abutting the pins 24 and 25, and the overlapped edges abuttingv the pins 23and 23f so that when the shade is completed, the ends thereof will be even as shown'v in Fig. 8; After the edges have been made uniform, the foot treadle 2() is pressed downwardly, causing the'cam 14 to turn and force the bar 6 toward the bar 5, clamping-the edges together. rllhe shade is allowed to remain inthis position a short duration of time and upon release of the same, if the cam 14 fails to moveupon release of the treadle 20, the lever 23 is actuated to cause the cam to be returned to an inoperative position as i shown in Fig. 2 by means of the coil spring 2l.`
Having thus described my invention, 1t is `obvious that various immaterial modifications may lie-made in the same without departing from the spirit of my invention hence 1 do not wish to be understood as limiting myself to the exact form, construction,

a movable presser bar, resiliently mounted means for correctly positioning the other edge of the blank relative the first edge, and
means for moving the movable presser barV toward the stationary support to bring the-f positioned edges into Vcontacting relation.

In a device of the character described and in combination, a stationary support, a form carried by said support, means resiliently mounted on said support for `correctly positioning one edge of a blank, a movable presser bar, resiliently mounted means on the presser bar for correctly positioning the other edgeof the blank relative the Vrst edge, means for moving the movable presser"V bar toward the stationary support to bring and ymeans for supplying heat to the edges.

In a device of the character described and in combination, normally spaced parallel members, means for correctly positioning the edges of a shade between said members With ysaid edges in overlapped relation, and a cam acting against one of said members for 1nov ving the same into clamping engagement with 'presser bar to bring-the positioned edges into contacting relation. c

In a device of the kind described and in combination, a stationary support, a form carried by said support, resiliently mounted pins on said support tor positioning one edge of a blank, a movable presser bar, resiliently mounted pins on said presser bar. for positi'oning a second edge of said blank relative to said irst mentioned edge, cam means :t'or moving the presser bar toward the station-I ry support to bring said edges or" the blank together, and means for supplying heat to the edges.
