'a bank in which a transparent partition 21 will serve to enclose the teller or other clerk, having a mouth piece 22inounted therein and provided With a suitable opening 23 having the closure 24, this partition and its parts being bulletproof. Extending along the one side of the building, beneath theV ceiling 18, is a conduit 25, through which projects a cord 26-` which is wound on the drum 27. This drum is driven by a motor 28,`upon the shaft of which is mounted the gear 29 which meshes'with the gear 30"car ried by the bell crank 31,tlie gear 30 meshing` with a similar lgear 32 also carried by theabell crank 31. Mounted upon the'shaft 33 of the drum 27 is aj gear 34 with which the gear k32 may be brought into mesh at will by rocking the bell crank 31 on its pivot 35 by means of the arm'36. Fixedly mounted upon the drum shaft 33 is a ratchet wheel 37 engaging with which is a rockingly mounted dog 38 normally held by the spring 39 in engagement with the teeth of the ratchet wheel 37. This dog 38 is electrically operated by means Vof the coil 40 which is ,connected by thewires 41`to someA suitable source of electrical energy. Upon an energizing ofthe coil 40, the clog 38 is rocked 'by the compressed Vspring 39 so as todisengage the ratchet wheel 37. VThe member 26 communicates with a'trackage 38 which projects over 4the door opening 39 formed in the wall of the building. A door 40 is swingably mounted to serve as a closure for the upper endy of each of these panels carries a roller 49 riding on the bottom portion 45 of the track. A ,roller 50 is mounted on the lower end of the panels 48 and rides in a track l mounted in the floor 17. A pulley 52is mounted at the end of the horizontal trackage 38, a tube 53 projecting vertically downwardly through. the floor and Y communicatingwith the housing 54 in which 1s posltioned aweight 55.
The cord 26 is attached to an eyelet 56 mounted in the weight and a similar eyelet 57 at the other end of the weight is attached to the cord 59, this cord extending around the pulley 60 and wound on the drum 27. 'I he cord 26 issecured to theend panel 48 which yhas the diagonal cut end 48 as shown in Fig. l.

Upon a closing of the switch 64 the latch 84 will be withdrawn from operative position permitting the weights 8l to move the sections 78, 79 and 80 upwardly intofposition over the window opening, so as to etl'ectively afford the protection desired.
, A projection 87 is mounted on the panel 7.8 and serves to engagebehind an electric latch 88 which is operated by the coil 89, this coil being suitably connected by the wires 90 to asourceof electrical `energy and through a switch. Y
The structure is such that when the weights 7l raise these sections upwardly the latch Ywill serve to lock the sectionsin operative position.
It is believed evident that the device cons tructed and arranged as I have set out is one which will a'li'ord effective protection for the purposes intended and onewhich is easily and quickly operated while at the samel time simple in structure.
In order to rewind the cord so as to move the closures to inoperative position the latch 8 8 will be moved to inoperative position and the dog 67 moved to inoperative position upon which an o )eration ofthe motor 28 will eifect through tie gearing described a rewinding ot the cords on the drum 27,
While I have illustrated and described the preferred form of my invention, I do not wish to limit myself to the precise from of structure shown, but desire to avail myself of such variations and modifications as may come within the scope of the appended claims.
Having thus described my invention what I claim as new and wish to secure by Letters Patent is:
l. A burglar trap of the class'described adapted for use with a. building having a door opening formed therein, comprising: a swingably mounted door for said opening; a
sectional collapsible closure for said opening; a. track extending across said opening above the upper edge thereof; a track extending across said opening below lll!) the lower edge thereof; a roller mounted on the upper end of each of the sections of said closure engaging in the upper of said tracks; a roller on the lower end of each of said sections engaging in the lower track; means for moving said closure across said opening at will; means for preventing the reverse movement of said closure romacrossl said door opening; and means on said door en-` gageable with said closure for effecting a closing of said door upon movement of said closure across said opening and for limiting the opening movement oi' said door upon movement of said closure across said opening.
2. A burglar trap of the class described adapted for use with aI building having a door opening formed therein, comprising: a swingably mounted door for said opening; a
plurality of sections arranged in telescopicV relation for forming a closure for said door opening; means operable for moving said sections to operativer and inoperative position; and a pair of projections, one positioned adjacentthe top and the other posi tioned adjacent the bottom, and projecting outwardly from one face of said door,saidl projections being engageable by said sections upon movement of the same to operative position, and serving to swing said door to closed position, said projections engagingthe face of said sections after movement of the vsame to operative position and. preventing swinging oi said swingable door. c
3. A burglar trap oi the class described adapted for use with a building-having a" door opening` formed therein, comprising: a
swingably mounted door for said opening; a plurality of sections arranged in telescopic relation for forming a closure for said door opening; means operable for Vmoving said sections to operative and inoperative position; a pair of projections,pone positioned adjacent the top and the other positioned adjacent the bottom and projecting outwardly from one face of said door, said projections being engageable by said sections upon movement of the same to operative position, and serving to swing said door to closed p0- sition, said projections engaging the face of said sections after movement of the same to operative position and preventing swinging of said swingable door; and groove bearing meansfor reception of the edge of the endmost of said sections upon movement of said sections to operative position for preventing lateral movement of the same.
