osoAn r. nys'rnoivr. or H0 a feed door ily adjusted in place so that the door shall accurately fit theflange of the door opening.
Objects pertaining to details and cc on o mies of my from the description to follow.
I accomplish the objects of my invention by the devi following specification. The invention is clearly defined and pointed out in'the claims.-
A device clearly illustrated" in the accompanying drawing forming a part of this application,
in which:
'F1g. 1s a casting'of the furnace with my improved feed door structure 111' place. I
Fig. 2 is door frame Fig. 3 1s Fig. 4 is a detail-view in section taken on line l-4 of Figs. 3 and 5, the section being through the retaining bolts.
Fig. 5 is an enlarged detail sectional view on line of the adjusting clamping bolts.
- Fig. 6 is an enlargeddetail sectionalview on line 6.6 of Figs. 2, 3 and 4: through one of the adjusting set screws. I 3 v j The parts will be identified by their numerals of re I the views.

on which is hinged the door 8. I
9 is the, doorlatchcarried by'the door frame. 61, 61 are the attaching bolts for. the door frame, one at each side, being v disposed throughthe frame 7 and the slotted lugs 6. '51 are the adjustin set screws through nuts '52 for adjusti'i'ig accurately the position of]! the door frame; in cooperation with the at taching bolts 61.
From this it w1ll be seen that the door 7 withits ground face to correspond with the I ground joint of the door opening in-the casting can be effectively and accurately ad' justed in place before the joints arecemented. This is done by putting the door in place; adjusting the set screws 51 and draw-v ing up the attaching bolts and adjusting said bolts and screws until the desired result is attained. The joints about the. frame can then be cemented or packed desired.
Having thus described my invention what I claim as new and desire to Letters Patent is:
1. In a furnace door-structure, acoinbustion chamber casting with feed passage. a door opening therefor with'gli'ound joint, central lugs and lateral slotted lugs above and below said door opening a'door frame door hinged thereto witlrground joint; clamping boltsv disposed through the lateral slottedlugs, and a central set screwcooperating therewith for adjustmentof the same, as specified. I i v i i 2/In a furnace door structure, the combination of a combustion ,chambercasting with a door opening with ground joint surface [at the front,a door frame with ground joint surface corresponding to said ground joint surface at the front "of said combustion chamber and adapted to cooperate there-' with. means'to adjustably attach said frame comprising lateral clamp bolts and intermediate set screws. and a door hinged t S d door frame. as specified.
In witness whereof secure by I i have hereunto set
