Figure 1 is a plan which prepared or w cast blocks of concrete or the like with the reenforcing mattresses embedded therein, are united together and the building up of the required structure in accordance with this invention, whilstFigures 2, 3 and 1 show separate blocks before unison.
In the assembling of pre-cast or prepare blocks as shown at Figure 1, the exposed or projecting portionsc, 'dsandgflb, of the mattress coils in the respective blocks illustrated. at Figures 2, 3 and l," are, intermeshed as at Figure 1, and a uniting rod k inserted as shown. Such united porshowing the manner in tions are then encased with concrete, cement or the like. For roof structures where the concreting of the exposed portions ofthe coils can be effected from the top the ends of the adjacent blocks are shaped as shown at the left hand side of Figure '1, but for wall structures where the concreting is elfectedfrom the sides, the ends of the blocks are shaped as shown at the right hand side of said figure.
. What I claim is 1. In reenforcements of the type aforesaid "forsafes, strong rooms and the like, the combination comprising amass of concrete having embedded therein a mattress with interwoven right hand coils extendin and projecting from said mass, a further hat may be termed pre- I 0r through a W, OF BOLTON, ENGLAND, ASSIGNOR TO THE CHAT- ED, OF BOLTON, ENGLAND, A BRITISH COMPANY.

2. In. reenforcements of the type aforesaid for safes, strong rooms and the like the combination comprising a mass of concrete having embedded therein a mattress with inter woven right hand coils extending through and projecting from such mass, a further mass of concrete in alignment with the afore said mass and having embedded therein a mattress with interwoven left hand coils,
said coils having projecting ends overlapping the adjacent projecting ends of the said, right hand coils, end projections from the said masses, said projections abutting together and v lappingends, as set forth.
3. In reenforcements of the type aforesaid for safes, strongrooms and the like, the combination comprising a mass of concrete having embedded therein a mattress with inter 7 woven right hand coils extending through and projecting from such mass, a further mass of concrete in alignment with the aforesaid mass' and having embedded therein a mattress with interwoven left hand coils, said coils having projecting ends overlapping theladjacent projecting ends of the said right hand coils, end projections from the said, masses, said projections, abutting together and rods threaded through the said overlapping parts of the mattresses and uniting same, as set-forth.
