lt is apparent that the details ot the application of the filler blocks to the pedestal legs may be' otherwise modified, and other variations in the pedestal 'structure may be made Without departing tromthe spirit of my invention, and ll contemplate the exclusive use of all the features of my invention as are included in the scope of my claims.
ll claim: 1. A car truck pedestal leg having side walls and a transverse web between said side Walls, said'side Walls being provided with spaced bolt holes for securing a Wear plate in diii'erent positions relative to said web.

In combination, a car truck pedestal leg, having a lsmooth face adapted to guide a vertically movable journal box mounted in the pedestal, and a block detaehably seeuredto the inner face ot said' leg and havinga smooth tace adapted to similarly guide a narrower journal box mounted in the pedestal. y
3. ln combination, a car truck pedestal leg comprising side walls, a transverse web between said walls, a filler block in front of said web and detaehably secured to lsaid Walls, and a wear plate extending over said block and also secured to said Walls.v
4. ln a car truck pedestal leg, side walls, a transverse web between said Walls, av de-l tachable liller block fitting over said web and the adjacent portion of said walls, and a` channel-shaped Wear plate ttingover said block and walls, said walls having holes tor receiving means securing said block and wear plate to said Walls, and said Walls also having holes for receiving means securing Lee/assi.
