This invention relates to an electro-therapeutic apparatus for the treatment of vari ous diseases and for experimentation in connection therewith. v
Au object of the invention is to produce an apparatus of such a type as to be capable of producing electrical vibrations capable of promoting the growth of healthy tissue.
Other objects of the invention will appear as the description proceeds.
An `einbodimentof the invention is shown in the accompanying` drawings in which the same reference numeral is applied to the saine portion throughout but we are `aware that there may be modiications thereof.
Figure l is a front elevation of the apparatus looking at secondary coils.
Figure 2 is. aside elevation of the coinplete apparatus showing' the magnet eratingg the eddy current motor.
Figure 3 is an end view of the apparatus showing switches.
Figure 4, is a` diagrammatic view of the circuit used.
Figure 5 is a smaller diagrammatic View of the primary windings, showing` the manner of applying` 11G or 22() volts to the ap' paratus without changing the apparatus or secondary output.

Figure 7 is a cross-sectional View on the line T--T of Fig. l.
Beginning `nstv with the electrical circuit shown in Figure 4, it will be seen that A is the primary of a transformer coil l'lewing` the two wires fz. leading to any suitable source of alternating electric current, this particular apparatus being intended to be used with llO volt current.
Adjacent the coil A are several secondary coils B, one end of which coils is connected by the wire b to the coil core cr, while the other end of the secondary coils is connected by wire b to the interrupter l, operated by the motor M, which motor receives current from a small secondary coil MC. A condenser o is used in the wire c', while between the wire c and c there is interposed in parallel the adjustable condenser C and the single turn inductance D.
Two 1500 turn honeycomb wound coils E, E are then placed in series between the wire c and wire e leading tothe rheostat box R for opcontaining ajseries of resistances r, any one 'of which may be used.
The arrangement of the coils A. and B is such that there is a difference of potential of 3000 volts from Z) to .79 and a series oftapsV b allow lower voltages to vbe used if desired.

The apparatus used is shown in Final to 3 and consists of a oase board l on which is mounted a pair of lou7 frames?J and 3 'to suoport a rectai'ig'ular laminated soft iron core fr carrying` four primary'coils 5 to 8, the motor coil. 9 and a plurality of secondary coils l0, twelve of thenrbeing` used -in the present apparat-us.
Mounted on the core 4 are four posts ll to le, the posts l2 and 14 being connectedhy a board 1.5 carrying' a plurality of binding posts 16.' The posts are connected to `the plates 2 and 3 .by the bolts 17 to 2O passing through the in'turnedl bottom flanges of the posts. The posts are also connected by two cross bars 2l, 21, a switch board 227 well as by a rectangular frame QBat said posts.
rlhe two bars 2l, 2l are made of channel forni and support a slide 2st which can bc pulled out or pushed in by the handle to place the electromagnet 26 at any desired point to regulate the rotation ofthe plate 27 on the shaft 28. The plate passes in close proximity to the end ofthe magnet core QQ-as well as in close proximity to the edges of a series of soft steel plates 30 supported by Ahe frame 23 slightly above the plate 27.
The frame braces 2l, 2l lcarry a cross channel 3l which supports a bearing 32 for the lower end of the shaft 28, said bearingl being` adjust-ably held by screws 33, 34 and 35.
The shaft 28 supports a Contact plate 36 on the top of an insulating block 87 said shaft also passing through a bearing 38.
Supports 89, Ll() carry a` rod ll of some iny sulating` material and said rod carries two the top of spring contacts 42, 43 with which the plate 36 periodically contacts.
At one end of the board l'there are two posts 50, 51, which carry a rod 52 which supports two ordinary honeycomb coils 60, Gl of 1500 turns each, on opposite sides of a flat frequency transformer coil 53 having about three turns.
On the base l, and only diagrannnatically shown, is a small fixed condenser 54 and a Variable condenser 55.
The manner of wiring has been indicated above the corresponding parts being numbered as follows: l
Primary coils A are 5 to 8.
Secondary coils B are 10.
hotor coil MC is 9.
Motor if is 27.
Interrupter I is 36.
Small iixed condenser c is 54.
l Adjustable condenser C is 55.
Flat coil D is 53.
Two coils E, E are 60, 6l.
The non-inductively wound resistances on the board R form no part of the present apparatus and are merely used to connect the patient with the current of the desired vibratory effect, ordinary sheet metal elec trodes being placed on the body to effect the desired results.

l/Vhat I claim is as follows, but modifications may be made in carrying out the invention shown in the drawings and in the above particularly described form thereof within the purview of the invention as defined by the annexed claims:
l. A therapeutic apparatus comprising means for stepping up commercial to highvoltage, having circuit wires extending therefrom, one of which wires is grounded, a mechanical circuit breaker interposed to the other wire, a condenser to which the 1latter wire is connected, a wire extending from the first condenser to another condenser, and frequency transformer in parallel, and induction coils connected to the treatment apparatus, and supports for said coils, permitting them to be adjusted toward and from the frequency transformer.
2. A therapeutic apparatus comprising means fer stepping up commercial to high voltage, h ving circuit wires extending from the secondary, one of which wires is grounded, a mechanical circuit breaker interposed in the other wire, a condenser to which the latter wire is connected, a wire from the condenser to a second condenser Aand frequency transformer in parallel, and
