I This invention relates to improvements in boxes made of fibre or paper board or the like and consists ofthe matters hereinafter described and more particularly pointed out ilfthe appended claims. 1

The many advantages of my invention will be manifest to those familiar with the art.
While in describing my invention I have referred to many details of mechanical construction and arrangement of .parts, it will be understood that the invention is not to of a blank and of transverse wood strips secured to the marginal ends of said blank.
2. A box made of 'fibre board or the like comprising, a body blank cut and creased to provide a bottom wall, two side walls and lateral flap extensions of the side walls, and transverse wood strips secured to the inside and outside faces respectively of said side walls and bottom wall at their marginal ends; end blanks each provided with oppositely folding top and bottom extensions, said bottom extensions being secured to the marginal ends of said bottom wall; and a lid consisting of a blank and of transverse wood strips secured to the marginal ends of said blank.
3. A box made of fibre board or the like comprising, a body open on top and a lid for closing said open top, the body having side, end, and bottom walls, and transverse wood strips attached to said bottom, side walls and lid at their marginaljends in alternate arrangement, with some of the strips on the inside faces of said walls and the adjacent strips on the outside faces of said walls, said wood strips when the box is closed, presenting a'rigid combination wood and fibre rectangular frame at each-end of the box.
4. A box made of fibre board or the like comprising, a body openat the top and a lid for closing said open top, the body having side, end, and bottom walls and an intermediate transverse' wall, and transverse wood strips attached to said bottom, side walls and lid at their marginal ends in alternate arrangement, with some of the strips on the insidefaces of said walls and the adjacent strips on the outside faces of said walls, said wood strips when the box is closed, presenting a rigid combination wood and fibre rectangular frame at the ends of the box, and a. transverse wood strip attached to said lid in the plane of said intermediate transverse wall.
5. A box made of fibre board or the like comprising, a 'body blank cut and creased to provide a bottom wall, two side walls and lateral flap extensions of the sidewalls, and transverse wood strips secured to the inside and outside faces respectively of said side walls and bottom wall at their marginal ends; and end blanks eachoppositely folding top and ttom extensions, and bottom extensions being secured to the marginal ends of said bottom wall.
