WILLIAM E. VAN VELSOR, OF PHILADELPHIA, PENNSYLVANIA.
IMPROVEMENT IN PILL-TILES.
Specification forming part of Letters Patent No. 1 63,552., dated May 18, 1875 application filed April 14, 1575'.
To all whom it may concern:
Be it known that I, WILLIAM E, VAN VEL- SOR, of the city and county of Philadelphia, in the State of Pennsylvania, have invented an Improvement in Pill-Tiles, of which the fol: lowing is a specification:
My invention consists of a glass pill-tile having a ground surface to prevent the slipping of the pill mass, as hereinafter described.
The accompanying drawing is a face view of the pill-tile, which has a ground face, as represented. This grinding of the face is performed on a revolving flat stone, the tile being shifted around to change its position to produce a regular surface, by which the pill mass is prevented slipping when rolled. The tile is provided with a scale, in the usual manner, to be used in cutting the pills to their proper size.
I claim as my invention As an article of manufacture, a pill-tile of ground glass.
