forcing material 20 is positioned between the said rear Wall 16 and the lining flap 19. The blank is then folded along the dotted line 21 and the upper end of the front Wall is tucked inwardly as at 22 to reinforce the upper end thereof. It Will be noted upon reference to Figure 8 that the front Wall portion 15 of the receptacle is somewhat wider than the rear Wall portion 16 and the vertical edges of the said front Wall 15 are then folded over the edges of the rear wall 16 as indicated at 23. The front wall and rear Walls 15 and 16are then secured together by means of the stitching 2a which also passes through the reinforcing material 2O and the overlapped edges 23 of the said front Wall. rhis stitching 24 runs from the lower left hand corner of the receptacle upwardly `to and around the cover flap and down the right hand side of the receptacle to the lower right hand corner thereof. This stitching thus also secures the upper ends of the lining flap 19 and cover flap 17 together. VIt Will be noted upon reference to Figure 6 that the reinforcing material 2O extends slightly up Wardly beyond the front Wall l5 and is prevented from riding upwardly by means of the transverse stitching` 25. The receptacle is provided With a snap fastener 26, one part 27 thereof being secured to the front Wall 15 While theother part 28 thereof is secured to the cover flap 17.
Secured to the rear wall 16 of the receptacle B adjacent the upper end thereof is the hanger generally `indicated by the numeral 29 and comprising the base portion 30 secured to the said rear Wall by means of soft rivets or the like B1, the upper end of the said base portionbeing rearwardly directed to provide the horizontal attaching plate 32having a plurality of openings 33 therein, lVhen it is desired to secure the receptacle to the automotive vehicle, the screws 14 holding the metal trimming 13 in place are removed and the horizontal metal, attaching' plate 32 is arranged to rest upon the Window frame 12. The metal trimn'iing` 13 is then replaced and the screws 14 which are utilizedV to .secure the trimming in position are also arranged to pass through certain of the openings in the attaching plate 32 of the said hanger vvherebyr to secure the receptacle in position, The rear Wall 16 of the receptacle is also out out immediately adjacent its lower end to provide the semi-cir` cular flaps 34 and these flaps are arranged to be stitched to the upholstery of the automotive vehicle so as to retain the said receptacle snugly against the side thereof.
lThe account book C embodies in its construction the front and rear covers 35 and 36 suitably bound together and between which are suitably secured any kdesired number of record sheets 37 upon which; the accounts may be entered. Secured to the rear cover Lesef/ea Vparallelslits 39 and 40. In order to form the pencil holder and lifting tab, the blank of material shown in Figure 11 is simply folded upon itself transversely of the slits 39 and 4L() therein Which results in the formation of the three loops 41,2142 and 43, the opposite ends of the said blank being'securcd to the rear cover 36 of the book by means of rivets or the like 44. The end loops 41 and S0 4:3 are adapted to receive therethrough a pencil A15 While the middle loop 4t2 is not engaged by the pencil but is brought forward-V ly thereof to provide a lifting tab whereby the book may be easily and quickly'removed from the receptacle B.
It Will thus be seen that there has been provided a novel receptacle for an automobile expense account book which is conveniently attached to the inside of the door or body of the automotive vehicle and that the book cover has secured thereto a combined pencil holderand lifting' tab so that the said book maybe easily and quickly withdrawn from the receptacle when itis desiredyto makeA entries therein. In automotive vehicles which do not have a detachable metal trimming around the windows thereof, the'attaching plate 32 of the hanger 29 may be cut olf and the fastening 100 screws passed through the base portion 30.
While-there has been shown and described one practical embodimentv of the present invention, it is to be understood that changes in the details of construction thereof` may be resorted to Without departing from or sacriticing the spirit of the invention so long as such changes fall within the scope of the appended claims.
lVhat is claimed is:

In a maintenance record, the combination with a window of an automotive vehicle, having a metal trimming and means lor securing the trimming to the window frame, of a receptacle, a hanger secured to the receptacle adjacent the upper end thereof and provided with a horizontal attaching plate arranged to be positioned between the window frame and metal trimming of the automotive vehicle and receiving therethrough the means utilized for securing the metal trimming in place, means for attaching the lower end of the receptacle to the vehicle, an account book Carried by the receptacle, and means formed from a single blank of material and secured to the book for carrying a pencil and for facilitating the removal of the book from said receptacle.
4. A record body carrying receptacle of the character described, comprising an elongated body having a front wall and a twoply back wall, the side edges of saidifront wall being extended and secured to the edges of the back wall to form the receptacle sides, said back wall being extended a substantial distance above the top edge of the fron-t wall to form a closure flap, and a semi-rigid stiflening body interposed between the plies of the back wall and extending a slight distance beyond the top edge of the front wall.
5. A record body carrying receptacle of the character described, comprising an elongated body having a front wall and a twoply back wall, the side edges of said front wall being extended and secured to the edges ot the back wall to form the receptacle sides, said back wall being extended a substantial distance abovey the top edge of the front wall to form a closure flap, and a semi-,rio'id stiifening body interposed between iie plies of the back wall and extending a slight distance beyond the top edge of the front wall, and a ri id bracket plate secured to the back of tie receptacle for securing the same in a fixed position.
