Figure -7 is 'a sectional: plan view through the duplicate dating stamp with the assemf bled Vdepositors receipt vr'slip and fthe p bank car-d insertedtherein. y 1 designates afdepositors yreceipt slip `which islin the lform 'of afolded card, the outer faces of which are provided with: consec'utively numbered spaces as at 2, fand the front face ofthe slip and its upper and` lower portions has indicated, as at 3,jthe year for examplellQQ, and as at 4, the nu1nberof the depositors slip. fAtgthe bottom of eachl column of spaces isindicatechashat 5, the amount which is to be` depositedle'ach wee The insideof thevfolder basa place, lias' at 6, tovi'ndicate the name and address of the depesitolg-and alsotherules and regulations 7, which may vary lin practice. For the purpose of fully explaining "my invention, I have indicated at 7 `spacefor` vrules andregulations which can be employed for a Christmas saving` fund. being adapted to receive the date when the account isfpaid and also `in separate` column spaces in whichzto record the deposits and interest-meritsand theirtotals. 5 U In connection with the `depositorsslip and the bank` receipt card, l preferably femploy a duplicate dating stamp, the` general construction and operatin `ofwhichis conventional, except that thel duplicate dating stainp'sis providedwith a base 19 which ex` tends beneath an aligning slot 20, anda slide 21 :is .provided having `end portions ,or ,l

tongues 22, which, when the slide is moved inwardly, will prevent the symbols, such as for example the stars 23, from being printed on both the depositors slip and the bank receipt card.
The slide 21 has its ends guided beneath the strips 24 carried by the base 19.
25 is an envelope to receive the depositors receipt and this envelope may if desired have indicated on it as at 26 the latest weekly dates on which payments are to be made to entitle the deposit-or to receive interest.
The manner in which the savings system is used will now be apparent to those skilled in this art and is as follows When a depositor desires to open an account, his name and address is filled in at the place 6 on the depositors receipt 1 and also at 15 on the bank card 10. The depositor signs the bank card below the printed matter 16.
When a depositor makes a payment he brings in the deposit slip and makes one or more payments as he may desire. The bank clerk inserts the bank card between the leaves of the deposit slip 1 so that the lines are inregister and then moves the aligned deposit slip and card into the duplicate dating stamp, and the date on which the payment is made is simultaneously indicated on both the deposit receipt and the bank filing card.
If the payment is made on time or ahead of time and the depositor is entitled to interest, a symbol, such as for example a star, is stamped on the aligned spaces on both the deposit receipt and the bank card in proximity to the date of payment. If payment is made late or if the depositor is not entitled to an interest credit, the slide 21 is moved inwardly so that the interest credit stars will not be printed.
The depositor and the bank each have an accurate record of the payments which have been made and of the interest to which the depositor is entitled.
My present invention is not limited for use with savings systems but can be used in other cases where payments on the installment plan are made.
In order to economize material I employ consecutively numbered spaces arranged in columns, the numbers on one column reading in a reverse direction to the numbers on the other column on both the deposit slip and on the bank tiling card. Y.
The deposit slip 1 may be reinforced by means of a strip 27 of cloth or paper secured to it in any desired manner for example by adhesive material.
As will be understood by reference to Figures 2 and 4- the time on which payments are due may be indicated on both the depositors receipt and the bank receipt cards. I have shown in these due dates on a few of the spaces but it will be understood that, if used, each space would have indicated on it the date on which a payment is due.
Having thus described my invention, what I claim and desire to secure by Letters Patent, is:
1. Means for conducting a savings system, comprising a deposit receipt in the form et a folded strip having on one outer face av column of consecutively numbered spaces and on its other outer face a column of cousecutively numbered spaces reading in a reverse direction to the numbers of the lirst column, and a bank filing card having on one face columns of consecutively numbered spaces, one column of which reads in a reverse direction to its other column, whereby when one edge of the bank card is inserted and nested in the folder one of its columns will be covered and the spaces in its other column will register with correspondingly numbered spaces of the deposit receipt to enable the stamping of duplicate dates, and when the bank card is reversed and its opposite edge inserted into the folder, only the numbered spaces reading in a reverse direction will be visible and will register with the visible correspondingly numbered spaces of the deposit slip to enable the stamping of duplicate dates.
2. Means for conducting a savings system, comprising a deposit receipt in the form of a folded strip having on one outer face a column of consecutively numbered spaces and on its other outer face a column of consecutively numbered spaces reading in a reverse direction to the numbers of the first column, and a bank filing card having on one face columns of consecutively numbered spaces, one column of which reads in a reverse direction to its other column, whereby when one edge of the bank card is inserted and nested in the folder one of its columns will be covered and the spaces in its other column will register with correspondingly numbered spaces of the deposit receipt to enable the stamping of duplicate dates, and when the bank card is reversed and its opposite edge is inserted into the folder, only the numbered spaces reading in a reverse direction will be visible and will register with the visible correspondingly numbered spaces of the deposit slip to enable the stamping of duplicate dates, said deposit slip having on the inner faces of its folds a suitably designated space for the name and address of the depositor and a suitably designated space for the withdrawal date and the signature of the depositor.
3. Means for conducting a savings system, comprising a deposit receipt in the form of a folded strip having on one outer face a coluInn of consecutively numbered spaces and on its other outer face a column of consecutively numbered spaces reading in a reverse one edge 'ofthe bank card is inserted andV nested in the folder one of its columns Will be coveredv and the spaces 1n its other column Will register' 'with correspondingly numbered spaces of the deposit receipt to enable the stamping of duplicate dates, and When is reversed and its opposite the bank 'card edge inserted into the folder, only the numbered spaces reading in a reverse direction Will be visible and will register With the Visible correspondingly numbered spaces of the deposit slip to 'enable the stamping of duplicate dates, said bank card havingy on the reverse face of the column carrying face, a suitably designated space for the name and address of the depositor and a suitably designated space for the date paid out and the 'total oi' .deposits and interests paid out.
