ALARM REGISTER FOR METERS.

The object of thisinvention is to provide for meter registers which must be capable of being set backto zero after operation, an alarm which shall be sounded on the delivery of a predetermined volume of liquid as in the case. of gasoline filling stations.
The invention will be explained more fully hereinafter with reference to the accompanying drawing in which it is illustrated and in 0 which:

I claim as my invention:
In a meter register having a driving means, an indicator, "a shaft carryin the indicator, and means to reset the shaft by reverse rotation, a cam with a sharp drop carried by the shaft, a gong, a pivoted hammer, a dog freely movable in one direction pivoted on the hammer and operated by the cam, and a stop on the hammer to prevent movement of the dog in the opposite direction, whereby reverse rotation of the cam causes, the dog to move away from the stop while maintalning the alarm mechanism in operative condition during normal-operation of the register.
