This invention relates toiinprovements in as to afford a greater thickness of materiall for holding screws than is found in the hollow tubes at present in use.
A further objectv of the invention is to provide an all metalv tube frame so constructed as to permit vthe use of removable sections of yarn tubes held detachably to the frame by fastening means each of which can be tightened without loosening any of the neighboring fastening means.
A still further object of the invention is to provide an improved means for. securing the spool supporting bracket to a. frame formed of amultiple of tubes in such a way as to hold the several tubes together.
With these andk other objects in view, which will appear as Vthe description proceeds, the invention resides in the combination and arrangement of parts hereinafter described and pointed out in the claims.

In the drawings, a frame 10 carries end bearings 11 and intermediate bearings 12 on which are mounted spools 13. Yarn tubes 14 are grouped in relatively small units or sections 15, eachA of which comprises an angle portion 16 having a rib 17 formed on the vertical fla-nge 18 thereof. A spring hook 19 is secured to each end of the frame.
In order to give greater stiffness to the frame 10, it is formed of a plurality of tubes, in this instance two, as 20 and 21,

and' these tubes'have their yadjacent vertical 55 walls secured together Vin any approved manner, Aas by soldering .or welding `to form a wall 22 thicker than the outer walls` of the frame. In this way the vertical walls have substantially double the cross section of the e0 frames formed of single tubes.. The upper part of flange 18 of the angle portion y16,is perforated to receive screws 23 which' are screwed into the wall 22. In order toprevent wall 24 of tube 2O from being bentin- 'e5 wardly under the iniiuencel of the screws 23, each of the latter is surrounded by` a bushing 25 which bears at its inner end on wall 22 and hasV its outer `end extended through wall 24. The bushings vmake it 7o possible to tighten each screw without disturbing the setting of adjacent screws, as would be the case should the screw'heads bear against wall 24. By the construc tion described the screws 23 and 27 are 5o threaded into the double wall22 and the yarn tube sections are held to the composite tube frame very tightly with the strain of Vholding the sections absorbed the bushings. p, Another feature of .our invention concerns the end brackets 29 lwhich carry the bear ings 11and serve with spring hooks 19 to `eng'ag-e the chain (not shown) by means of which the successive tube frames are moved to weaving position. lThe brackets 29, one on each end of the frame, are identical and a description of one will suffice for both.
The upperv end of the bracket is offset as at 30 and is slotted as at 31 to 'receive the 95 upper end 'of spring hook 19, The lower end of the bracket is provided with two slotsV 32, one preferably on each side of the spring hook 19 and so placed as to receive ears 33 and 34 formed integrally, respec- 100 tively, -on tubes 20 and 21. Another slot 35- is formed in the bracket preferably below the spring hook 19 and receives a pair of ears 36 extending from and formed integrally with the component parts of wall 22. These ears are headed over as rivets,vas shown in Figs. 4, 5 and 6, and hold the brackets very tightly to the tube. The ends of the tubes V-and 21 between the ears lit snugly against the "inner face ot the lower endof the bracket, which latter is drawn tightly against thetube ends by the riveting ot' the ears. A tutt yarn tube frame for AXminst-er i looms composed of a plurality of hollow iframe tubes assembled in juxtaposition, a tuft yarn tube unit, means for holding said unit to thetube frame, said means extending through one trame tube and into an# other, and means adjacent vsaid Yholding means extending from the tuft yarn tube unit to a remote portion of the Vadjacent frame tube to take the strain of said holding means. y

A tuft yarn tube frame for Axiiiinster looms comprising a plurality oi" tubes having the inner walls thereof secured together to form a central wall tor said trame, a tuftyarn tube unit having parallel sides to Aengage opposite. walls of the frame,and retaining elements for said section passing through the said opposite walls of thev frame and anchored in the said central wall.

A tutt yyarntube trame for AXm-inster looms formed of a plurality of hollow metallic frame tubes assembled in juxtaposition, ears formed integral with 'and projecting from the ends of the tubes, and a bracket for supporting said tube frame having openings therein to receive said ears, the ears being expandedv into said openings to hold said bracket to the tubes.
