A further object of the invention is to provide n ehiinney construction of the above mentioned character, which is simple in oonstruction, inexpensive, strong and durable and furthermore adopted for the purposes Jor which it is designated.

The ohiinney l is provided with cold air outlets i and hot air inlets 5 for cooperation with each of the roonis of the building or an apartment in the manner clearly illustrateol in the drawing. The provision ot e chininey of the above mentioned character, will enable the rooms of e buildingl or en apartment to be snpplied with heat which is ordinarily rested, thereby saving Consideinble expense in the burning 1"' fuel necessary to heet the building' or an apartment.

Hoving thus described iny invention, what I olsiin is In Combination with :i building, n Ghininey, e one-piece sinolre lue ez-tendingv npwnrdly and centrally therein whereby hot nir chamber is formed between the chimney end the sinolie flue, said ohilnney having flared cold air openings eonnnnniezrting with the roon'is of the building' adjacent the floors thereof whereby the cold nir in the rooms is discharged through the openings into the aforementioned hot air chamber, the chimney being further provided with tiered hot air openings disposed adjacent the ceilings of the rooins whereby the heated oir passing upwardly in the hot air ehnn'iber will pass through the lest mentioned openings into the room, the portions of the. ehiinne*7 odjaeelt the respective floor lines of the rooins being built inwardly to provide a closure for 'he hot air Chamber at each door line.
