BABY COMFORT BAG.

Application filed November 9, 1925. Serial No. 67,729.

This invention relates to baby comfort hand bags, and particularly to bags for use in carrying diapers, powder, safety pins and the like when traveling, visiting or shopping, etc. with a baby.

The chief object of the invention is to provide a bag of dainty appearance made of waterproof material and provided with compartments, one for receiving a supply of diapers and the other for receiving` damp or soiled diapers, the construction of the bag being such that it cannot sag open due to more diapers being in one compartment than in the other, or due to the weight of the heavier damp diapers.

The foregoing and other objects are obtained by the comfort hand bag illustrated in the accompanying drawings and described below. It is to be understood that the invention is not limited to the specific form thereof shown and described.

Referring to the drawings, 10 designates a bag of waterproof material, such as sheet rubber, constructed in any suitable shape in any suitable manner, such as by sewing three edges' of similarly shaped sheets together, and preferably formed with a constricted mouth 11. The bag 10 may have any suitable handles, such as straps 12, 12, secured thereon, and is divided into two compartments by a sheet of waterproof material 13 suitably secured therein as by sewing in place about the side and bottom edges of bag 10.

In order that the bag 10 will not sag open because of a preponderance of weight or bulk in one compartment or the other, the upper edge of sheet 13 is secured to the upper edge of the mouth of bag 10 at two points 14, 14 (Figure 2) spaced a short distance from the opposite side edges of the bag and on opposite sides of the bag, these points la being preferably where the handles 12 are secured to the bag.

The bag 10 may have a pocket 15 on one side thereof for powder, a powder puff being indicated therein at 16, and it may have a second pocket 17 on the other side thereof for safety pins which are indicated therein at 18 secured on a piece of sheet material 19.

It will appear from the foregoing that a simple, dainty, but extremely useful hand bag has been provided for the purposel described, there being no probability of the contents of the bag becoming visible by reason of its sagging open since, due to the manner of securing the sheet 13 defining the compartments, suchba tendency will be effective to draw the mouth of the bag shut.

Modifications of the invention maybe resorted to without departing from the spirit thereof or the scope of the appended claims.

What is claimed is:

1. A hand bag of flexible material, said bag being formed with a constricted mouth and having a sheet of flexible material secured therein at its edges so as to divide the bag into two compartments, said sheet being secured to one side of the bag adjacent the top at a point spaced a short distance from one edge thereof and secured to the other side of the bag adjacent the top at a point spaced a short distance from the other edge thereof whereby the bag cannot sag open when one compartment is filled more than the other. v

2. A hand bag of ieXible material, said bag having -a sheet of iiexible material secured therein at the edges of the bag so as to divide said bag into two compartments, said sheet being secured to one side of the bag adjacent the top at a point spaced a short distance from one edge thereof and secured to the other side of the bag adjacent the top a short distance from the other edge thereof, whereby the bag cannot sag open when one compartment is filled more than the other. f
