Description

Sept. 14 1926.
R. F. KENYON RADIORECEIVER Filed Hatch 7 Zoff: 5a of .BY g U ATTORNEYS understood from the foregoing description. The lever 19 may be rocked for engagement of the electrode 83 with the crystal and for disengagement of the two by turning the knob 13, the cam face 22 of the nut 21 cooperating with the springt 17 in effecting such rocking motion. To shift the electrode 33 from its position preferably after it has been lifted ont of engagement with the crystal, it is only necessary to shift the pin 11 in the bore of the sleeve 4: which allows the electrode to be shifted to any point desired, the electrode beine' substantially limited to the area of the crystal by the engagement of the pin 36 with the rear end of the lever 19. After engagement between the electrode 33 and a sensitive point of the crystal has been established, the tension between the points of the contact may be increased or relaxed by turningthe knob 13 for increasing, or decreasing the distance between the crystal and the lever and for increasing` and decreasingF respectively thetension of the coiled spring 29.
I claim:
1. In a radio receiver, a crystal, an elec* trode, and mounting means for the electrode allowing the electrode to be selectively engagged with and disengaged from the crystal, comprising a rotatable pin, lever fnlcrnmed thereon extendingl over the crystal with one end thereof and having the electrode associated with the `said end and means for allowing the lever to be roclred on its fulcrum for 'effecting engagement or disengagement respectively of the electrode with the crystal.
2. In a radio receiver, a crystal, an electrode and mounting' means for the electrode allowing the latter to be selectively engaged with and disengaged from the crystal, and comprising an operating .element and a lever fnlcrumed thereon extending over the crystal with one end thereof and having the electrode secured to the said end, the operating element having means associated therewith for effecting a rocking motion of the lever when the operating element is turned.
3. In a radio receiver, a crystal, an electrode and mounting means for the electrode allowing the latter to be selectively engaged with and disengaged from the crystal and comprising an 'operating element and a lever fulcrnmed thereon extending over the crystal with one end thereof and having the electrode secured to the said end, the operating element having a cam and spring means thereon engaging` the lever from opposite sides for effecting a rocking motion of the lever when the operating element turned.
4. ln a radio receiver, a crystal, an elec trode and mounting` means for the electrode allowing the electrode to be selectively engaged with any point of the crystal, comprising an operating elem-ent, a lever fulcrinned thereon extending over the crystal with one end thereof and having` the electrode fixed to the said end, means allowing the lever' to be rocked by a turning motion of the operating element and means allowing the operating element to be shifted 5. In a radio receive-r, a crystal, an electrode and mmmting means for the electrode allowing` the electrode to be selectively engaged with any point of the crystal, coinprising an operating'element, a lever fulern-.med thereon extending over the crystal with one end thereof and having,- the electrode lined to the said end,`means allowing the lever to be rocked by ataining,- motion of the operating element and means allowing the operating elen'ient to be shifted in combination with means for confining the resulting shiftingof the operating,` end of the lever substantially to the area of the crystal.
6. In a radio receiver, a panel formed with a. perforation therein, a pin extending through the perforation with freedom of lateral shifting, spring` means yieldingly opposlngsuch shifting, a lever pivoted to the pin and a cam on the pin cooperating with the spring means for holding the lever and for impartingv rocking motion to the latter when the pin is turned.
7. ln a radio receiver, a lpanel formed with a perforation therein, a pin extending` through the perforation with freedom of shifting', spring means yieldingly opposing snch shifting', a lever pivoted to the pin and a cam on the pin cooperating` with the spring means for holding the lever and for imparting roel-:ingmotion to the latter when tl e pin is turned, with guide means for one end of the lever limiting the motion of the other end.
8. ln a radio receiver, a panel formed with ay perforation therein, a pin extending through the perforation with freedom of lateral shifting, snrii means yieldingly'op posing such shiftinw av lever pivoted to the 1pin and a cam on the pin cooperating with the spring reeans for holding; the lever and for impartir j rocking motion to the latter when the pin is turned, one end of the lever being slotted and a guide pin extending; through the slot for limiting` the motion of the other end of the lever.
