The bottom is then folded and formed by first bendiu the parts 16 and 17 along the lines 34-, and 36, to stand at right angles to the ends 12 and 13; the parts 1% and 15 are then bent along the lines 28 and 32 at right angles to the sides and 11 and all of the bottom parts relatively secured as by gluing.
. The formed carton is then ready for filling in its contents, after which the top part 19 is first folded, along the line 31 to stand at right angles to the end 12, in which position it will be observed thatit forms only :1 partial cover for the top open end (see Figure '2'); the body portion of the spout is then folded along the line 35 to stand at a right angle to the-end 13, and. its wings 22, 23 folded along the scored lines and 4-6 to stand parallel with the sides 10 and 11, in which position they are shown in Figure 8, and when the body 21 of the spout is fully folded its free margin tends to the free inner margin of the top part 20.

Tiis wing is then inserted in the gap 17 (see Figure 8) between the side 11 and the wing 22 of the pouring spout and the filled carton is ready for trade.
To open the carton a sharp blade is assed along the line 48, which is preteralily a printed line, which frees the portion numbored 24 from the remainder of the top, the wing 25 is then withdrawn, the whole flap with its wing swung outwardl as shown in Figures 7 and 8 which permits access to the pouring spout which spout is then swung on the scored line 'to the position shown in Figure 7 wherein its body 21 par-- allele the end 13 of the carton and its wings stand at right angles to the body of the spout and parallel with the sides 10 and 11.
After each discharge the pouring spout may be extended into the carton and the top closed against the entrance of undesirable matter or the leakage of its contents by the sealing flap 24.
What I claim:
1. A dispensing carton, consisting of a top composed of a number of elements which form part of the cover and an element constituting a full closure of the carton, one of said first-mentioned elements having wings to form a pouring spout, the full closure element being provided With-a mark to indicate a line of out, which mark is located to register with the meeting line of said spout element, and the other first-mentioned elements.
2. A dispensing carton, consisting of a top composed of a number of elements which form part of the cover and an element constituting a. full closure of the carton, one of said first-mentioned elements having wings to form a pouring spout, the ifull closure element being provided with a marl:
to indicate a line of out, which mark is located to register with the meeting line of said spout element, and the other first-mentioned elements, and the portion. of saidfull closure iiap overlying the spout element being adapted to form a closure for said spout element when in closed position.
3. A dispensing carton, consisting of a top composed of a number of elements which form part of the cover and an element constituting a full closure of the carton, one
of said first-mentioned elements having wings toiform a pouring spout, the full closure element'being provided with a mark to indicate a line of out, which mark is lo cated to register with the meeting line of said spout element, and the other first-mentioned elements, and the portion of said full closure flap overlying the spout element being adapted to form a closure for said spout clement when in closed position, and having means thereon for the securement thereof in closed position.
In testimony whereof I hereunto afiix my signature.
THOMAS WALDRON.
