Description

MOTOR FUEL.
Ho Drawing.
The present invention relates to an improved motor fuel, for use in internal combustion engines, such as ordinary automobile engines, and is-preferably used with a I jet carbureter, although it can be employed with other kinds of carbureters.
In accordance with the present invention, I dissolve a small amount of paraffin wax in gasoline, the amount'of paraffin wax being variable within rather wide limits. In
the preferred form of the invention I preferably employ about .7% by weight, although I have used various quantities between .35% and 2.1%, with satisfactory re- 16 sults. In the preferred form of the process. I preferably mix one pound of paraflin with each twenty allons of the gasoline, and the fuel is rea ily handled by an ordinary carbureter without any difliculty.
By the use of my fuel, accumulations of carbon in the cylinders of the engine are readily removed, and the formation of further deposits of carbon is largely prevented.
In addition the lubrication of the piston in the cylinder is greatly facilitated, on account of the lubricating qualities of the paraflin wax itself. By the use of my fuel, the consumption of oil (engine lubricating oil) has been cut down.
The use of this fuel has given particu- Application filed November 11, 1925. Serial- No. 68,470.
larly good results in high altitudes, such as one to two miles, although it will be understood that the fuel can be used anywhere.
A particular advantage of my fuel is that 85 the engine does not knock near as badly as with ordinary straight run gasoline. By the use of my gasoline, I secure about 18 to 20% more mileage per allon, than with ordinary straight run so ine, such as that 40 obtained from the Cali ornia and Texas oils. The engine runs more smoothly with my product, and" shows better acceleration. While I have used Texas and California gasolines, in combination with paraflin wax, '4 the invention is not restricted to the use of this particular kind of gasoline.
I claim:-
-1. A motor fuel comprisin gasoline carryin a small percentage 0 'parafiin wax in so ution therein.
2. A motor fuel comprisin gasoline carrying about .35 to 2.1% o paraffin wax in solution therein.
3. A motor fuel comprising gasoline carrying about .7 of paraflin wax in solution therein.
In testimony whereof I aflix my signature.
