Be it known that I, CLARENCE E. FLoRKEY,
a citizen of the United States, residing at Dayton, in the county of Montgomery and State of Ohio, have invented certain new and useful Improvementsin Wheeled Toys,
of which the following is a, specification,'ref-' erence being had therein to the accompanying drawing. 1 My invention relates to toys, and in particular toipower toys. I
It is the object of 'vide a toy representing an automobile which can be economically manufactured in quantities out of a minimum number of pieces. V i
It is my object to provide a toy which will be rigid and strong and which will be adaptable to 'a'pull toy and also be adapt-- able to a power toy which is preferred. The source of'power is immaterial, but I prefer to employ a friction drive.
It will be understood that in the manufacture of toys where the amount of profit 'per toy is small it is essential that the production be in large quantities through dies. Because of the great fexpenseof the dies, it is necessary to reduce the number of parts of any toy to the minimum. It is also es sential to reduce the amount of stock used so ,that it is a matter of considerable irnport-anceto economically utilize the stock and design the severa'l pa'rts solthat there will be thele'ast waste. Having thus fully described my invention, what I claim as new and desire to secure by Letters Patent, is V l. A blank for the bodies of toy vehicles formed from a single piece of sheet metal and comprising a central portion having its mainportion shaped to conform to the top of the toy vehicle, an end extension shaped to form the rear of the vehicle body and provided with a window opening, and side wings each formed integrally with the center of one side of the main portion of the cen-- tral portion and'provided with door and window openings. 2. A blank for the bodies of toy vehicles central portion and provided with door and window openings, the peripheral portions of said blank being provided with I notched flanged forming extensions adapted. for connection to other portions of the toy;

A blank for the bodies of toy vehicles formed from a single piece of sheet metal and comprising a central portion having its main'portion shaped'to conform to the top of thetoy vehicle, an end extension shaped tov form the rear of the vehicle body and provided with a window opening, and side wings each formed integrally with the center of one side of the main portion of the centralnortion and provided with door and window openings, the peripheral portions of said blank being provided with, notched flange forming extensions adaptedfor connection to other portions of the toy; the. wings and end extension of said blank'being bent downwardly at rightanglesto the main topto form the sides and ends ofthe vehicle st.
