The invention consists in the novel process of niauufac-ture, and in the4 combination and construction hereinafter set forth and claimed.V In describing the invention, reference is had to the accompanying drawing in which like characters designate correspending parts of the different views Figure l is a view of the completed candle with the decoration thereon.
Figure 2 is a vertical section of a portion of the candle before decorating.
Figure 3 is a simlar view of a layer of lacquer upon the periphery of the candle.
Figure 4 is a similarview showing the decorative design painted or applied to the periphery of the candle.
Figure 5 is a similar view showing the adhesive material applied to the decorative design.
Figure 6 is a sectional view showing the covering of crystals or similar material covering the decorative design. v

My candle is decora-ted by an entirely new method so far as I am advised, and is, therefore, a new article of manufacture. The process is as follows:
I first make a candle of any size, color or form, as shown at a in vertical section. I then dip the same in a lacquer to give it a smooth finish, as shown in cross section at Z2-f. A design, .as shown at -fcis then Serial No. 64,131..

I claim:
l. The herein described method of applying a decorationl to candles consisting in applying to the body of the candle a lacquer, painting the desired design on such lacquered surface, then covering theL painted design with an adhesive material to form a sticky surface, and while in its wet ,condition, applying pulverized crystals thereto, and allowing it to dry.
2. The product of the herein described process comprising a candle having a lacquered surface, adecoration placed thereon, said decoration having an adhesive surface, and a covering of finely powdered crystals .for the purpose of imparting to the candle a pleasing effect.
3. The product of the herein described process comprising a candle having a lac. quered surface, a ldecoration placed thereon, said decoration having van adhesive surface, and a covering of a fine powder of inorganic ubstance to give the candle a pleasing efect.
